"As reported, found illumination at the UI when rotating the cycle selector encoder, unit unable to initiate cycles selected. No binary fault displayed at the drive motor inverter. Multimeter testing conductor confirming the units lid switch operational. Unit pre-dates GE SmartHQ. Unit manually entered into diagnostics confirming the UI start button functional. Unit unable to properly navigate diagnostic tests. Operational failure found appears due to a faulty control, EPROM error. No less than a new control needed to correct. Additional component failures may exist. Due to the units age, condition, cost to repair and decreasing part availability the customer has opted not to advance with further repair service at this time.

Inspected unit and determine some ice buildup in the RC evap cover and coil. Looks like it had a one time short defrost cycle which did not defrost all the ice therefore hitting the blade and making noises. Repaired problem by defrosting all the ice buildup. Tested unit and it is working properly. Job complete.

"Cx complaint: icemaker not working.Upon arrival, found no ice in the ice bin. Removed the ice maker cover and found the ice maker motor was already cycling. Observed operations, found the ice maker cycling properly. When the icemaker began to fill, found water splashing all around due to a frozen ice cup. Advised cx it would be an easy fix, just had to remove the ice build up in the fill cup. Cx opted to replace the icemaker instead. Quoted cx for a new icemaker and he estimate was approved. Replaced the old icemaker with a new one. Tested operations successfully. Unit now operates as designed.

"Cx complaint: unit bouncing around during spin cycle.Upon arrival, inspected the unit. Tested the suspension which checked out okay. Found a loose basket and a leaking gearcase. Quoted cx for the repair and the estimate was declined. Advised cx to start shopping for a new washer.

Units light and evaporator fan motor door switches functioning normally. Evaporator fan motor and condenser operating at speed with good airflow. Unable to identify cause of original no cool condition. May or may not have been corrected by customer actions. "Found the units ice maker stripper out of home position and unable to advance. Inspection conducted finding the ice maker to be the original design, heater contact burnt out within the module, picture attached for reference. Upon restoring power the ice maker Initiated and completed harvest cycle to include proper water fill without fault and/or water leaks. All unit operations check good upon completion of service. Diagnose unit and determine the temperature control is faulty. Every time you raise the temperature on the control board instead of getting colder in the compartment. Its actually getting warmer. So its vice versa. Will need to be replaced. Install a new temperature control. Send it to the correct code for the unit. Tested operation of the unit and it is now working properly. Job complete.

Inspected the drain stand pipe and found it was 30 tall. Advised cx per owners manual, stand pipe must be at least 39 tall. Installed new icemaker in water valve as icemaker was locked up and the water valve was feeding too much water to the icemaker confirmed unit operating at this time

"Installed new control with new user interface ... Paired both of them before the new install with old install... Ran new wire harness with a new actuator and a new cam with a new suspension... Took zip ties and adjusted hose to where it has an air break... put unit through calibration and than a high spin test which both worked very well... Unit is now working like it should

Inspected unit and determine there is a seal system leak and most likely is in the evaporator coil thats why the unit is now cooling at all. This will requires a big job but a seal system job was done by Frigidaire themselves in June 2025 therefore this service should have some warranty. Customer will contact Frigidaire to see what can be done. Job complete.

"Inspected unit and determine the slider might be faulty since its getting an F7 E 4 basket rearrange failure. I tried taking out the nut screw that holds the stator, rotor, clutch and slider in place to the Gearcase transmission but the nut screw will not come out, tried all type of tools but it is seized. Will need to drill and brake it off but with that other parts will need to be broken. Gave customer an estimate. but he is not happy and decline repair."

"Got to this unit to hear from the customer that we had replaced the icemaker a couple months ago and it had slowly been diminishing on ice production. Found that the unit on this particular model records six hours of previous history on cooling for all sections. In testing found that the freezer section had a maximum temperature of 55? average temperature of 10 and lowest temperature of -15. Was able to get the icemaker to move through testing without issue and was also able to deliver water to the maker without problem as well. Could find no apparent reason why this unit was not working correctly. Went ahead and did a power reset here today to get this unit back to working normally is the hope. Unit will need at least 48 hours to do a full reset if the unit is going to start working they will know then. Customer to let us know if in 48 hours this unit is still not producing ice. If this unit is not producing ice within the 48 hours, the main control board could be under suspicion and further testing would be required. Customer had made mention of multiple fluctuations and power at this current address. This could lead to faults with the icemaker, explained all this to the customer.

Go to this unit to have to explain to the customer that there are only three blocks on the back of these units. There is no part to be replaced as this is how it came from the factory.

"On arrival found the units ice bin filled to max level with clear and full sized ice cubes. Customer has both ice machine cleaner and new water filter. However, found no scale present, descale cleaning not recommended at this time. Water filter supplied by the customer (purchased online) appears to be a generic clone which if installed may damage the units water filter head. Found and cleared moderate matting from the condenser. Customer instructed on Use & Care to include regular maintenance, cleaning schedule, etc. Clean cycle initiated (no descaling agent added) in order to reset alert timer. Customer instructed to allow clean cycle to continue to completion est. 1.-1.5hr. Once clean cycle has completed the unit must be turned back *On manually to resume ice production. Customer will be purchasing a new Every Drop water filter locally and install. Customer will then monitor and advise should further service be required.

"As reported, found no FC / RC interior illumination. Customer had purchased and installed a new LED bulb however, no change, no illumination. Additionally, H1 (High Temperature) displayed for both the FC / RC. Customer reports H1 fault as recently occurring but has not noticed any temperature related issues. Unit temperature within expected range at time of service. Voltage tests conducted confirming both FC / RC door switches fully functional. Power supplied to the FC / RC light sockets when the circuit is closed. Further inspection conducted finding the L1 contact within the base of both the FC / RC pushed in and failing to connect with the bulbs positive contact. FC / RC light bulb L1 contacts set to original position to correct. Full FC / RC illumination restored. Following power cycle during initial testing the displayed FC / RC H1 faults were reset. Customer to monitor unit temperatures operations, sounds, etc. and advise should H1 fault(s) reoccur and/or other repair service be required.
