"When I arrived today, I entered the unit into diagnostics. There I found an F9 E1 long drain error code also F6E1 & F6E3 communications failure, error codes. Unit would not run factory DLMS calibration. Unit will need user interface and control at minimum. Since diagnostic could not go any further, I explain to the customer that further components may have failed as well, but that would not be determined until the controls were replaced. Customer is going to call Whirlpool to see if he can get a parts and labor authorization or purchase an extended warranty to have the warranty cover this repair. If not he will replace the unit. no work done today.The following are nutritional potential parts.that might be needed as well. These should be ordered so that we have them on the return visit in case they are needed.

Got to the unit to find the defrost sensor faulty. This unit was not getting proper temperatures to refrigerator section or freezer due to ice blockage on the lower portion of the evaporator. Had to replace harness with fan motor. Once customer approved estimate installed part and tested. Evaporator fan working properly. due to non-freezing temperatures was unable to get the unit back into defrost at this time. From all testing unit should be back in working order. Collected for part labor and service call. Job complete.
