"Got back to this unit and installed new console. Was able to test and find that the speaker is now working properly. Also took the time to do some testing since the customer was unsure if the unit was still spinning out properly or not. Was able to show the customer that there are settings for the detergent level as well for the amount being dispensed to the wash. With all this information, believe the unit should be working properly for this customer, if issues still occur after some changes and behavior, ask the customer to call back and get us back."

Entered test 19 and confirmed 120 V to heater and heater ohms good. Call tech-support about issue and was advised to add permagum around, fill tube and adapter rear. (Pt# 212643 permagum ) I did not have Permagum,so I placed insulation around icebox adapter and fill tube. "Found solid ice development below the evaporator and covering the floor panel of the FC. Icing condition has blocked the defrost drain causing defrost melt water to migrate forward out of the FC resulting in water leak in front of the unit as reported. All ice cleared restoring proper path for defrost melt water. Confirmed no blockage, misalignment, crushing, etc. of the defrost drain tube. No service pointers have been generated for this model relating to defrost drain / icing issues. Reoccurring failure believe to be due to water saturation of the cabinets foam insulation significantly reducing the insulation R-value and as such is non-repairable. Customer advised on non-repairable status.

"Units FC door carefully manipulated till allowing the door to open for inspection. Found widespread frost throughout the units FC interior as well as significant frost and ice accumulation throughout the FC evaporator cover and interior ceiling. Issue as found appears due to air infiltration as a result of the upper FC wire rack being pushed from the roller tracks due to improper food placement preventing the FC door from fully sealing against the cabinet face. As the extent of frost and ice accumulation throughout the FC would require hours to manually thaw the POC has opted to have the FC drawer and door assembly pulled and set aside. The unit will then be removed from power and towels laid within the FC and in front of the unit for no less than 48 hours allowing all ice and Frost accumulation to thaw naturally. The POC well then reinstall the FC drawer assembly, restore power to the unit and monitor. POC will advise should further service be required."

"4444 gc. Sr#7738687548. Got to this unit and replaced parts that were ordered. Also took the time to steam clean the evaporator since I was down there changing out the evaporator fan. While doing so was inspecting all parts and pieces to hopefully find some reason for the smell this customer is complaining about. Made sure the mastic gum was in the correct place moved the defrost sensor into a better location for proper defrosting. With not finding any cause responsible for the smells made sure to call into Techline and get this reported for the customer. Techline did not have any further recommendations to help or to explain this possible smell their stance on it is that the unit cannot make smells on its own that it is possible. The customer has had some influence on this. time will tell whether or not this smell perpetuates or continues. Hopefully job complete.

"Today when I arrived, the customer supplied thermal fuse had popped. Dry vent was cleaned the other day by Mastertech Dryer vent cleaning. Found faulted cycling thermostat. Replaced that with a new kit which includes thermal cutoff. Also replaced ventilation side thermal cut off. All functions now. Check Job complete.

"Inspected unit and determine the wire connection going from the main control to the left lid lock motor was loose faulty, therefore not allowing do you need to start a cycle. It sensed the drawer was not lock and closed. repaired problem by reconnecting the wire connection tightly and securely to the left lid. Lock motor. "Installed new knob and timer, but when started unit found unit had a little to no airflow removed vent off back and found unit completely clogged of lent vent line clogged with lint and the rest of the vent stack. Clogged with lint advice, property manager they have to have that cleaned."
