"On first inspection found the lower cover plate had not been secured into the rotor motor allowing for improper water flow and contact with the floating spray arm. No physical damage found. All parts reinstalled and secured. Unit ran through diagnostic testing and quick wash cycle without fault and/or water leaks. Units lid actuators, inlet water valve, rotor motor, heat plate, etc. all fully functional. Drainage of discharge water unrestricted. Reported intermittent issue may or may not have been caused by the unsecured cover plate. Customer instructed on Use & Care to include disassembly / reassembly to prevent potential failure(s). Customer instructed to continue normal use of the unit and advise should further repair service be required.

Got back to this unit and was able to install gasket on the bottom portion of the air tower. With testing found that this did seal the air that was escaping from the freezer. Because this was in between the base of the unit and the damper door. This was allowing cold air to come out into the refrigerator. Section unchecked. After installation found there to be no air moving from beneath the tower when evaporator fan was on. Believe this to fix the issue. Time will tell. Ask the customer to let us know within 24 to 48 hours if this was still a problem.

Got to this unit to find customer has video of the noise and question. Was able to replicate the noise by grabbing a hold of the wash plate and moving very quickly back-and-forth and you could hear a deer type noise coming from the bottom end of the unit. Because of this took the rotor off of the stater as well as the shift. Was able to confirm the noise in the gearcase after these parts were removed being is that there are no other moving parts touching at this time. This would definitely be to blame for the noise. Gearcase main suspect. Advise customer to speak with whirlpool to see if any concession can be made. Otherwise leaving it in the customers hands at this time. Job complete.

"Customer concerned that the refrigerator section is getting too cold at 21 degrees. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, checked error codes on the unit and found no error codes. Ran through diagnostics and all components are working properly. Freezer temperature is at an average of 0 degrees. Found that the damper lever was jammed and stuck in the wide open setting, and the customer had the temperature setting to the coldest setting. Adjusted the damper lever so it is operating properly now. Set the freezer temperature lever to coldest and set the refrigerator setting back to ideal temperature. Informed customer to give 24 hours for the unit to adjust. All ops good at this time. Job complete."
