"Got back to this unit and installed new passive hinge due to the noise that we were hearing on that side of the door. After replacing this hinge still Im hearing this detent type noise out of the hinge and it is right around where the unit has the position for vent in the closing part of the door motion. There is some motion in the hinge where it attaches to the perch. That appears to be not adjustable, nor did it change from the previous passive hinge. Believe this to be unfortunately part of the design of the door. Does not appear to be an issue with the function of the opening and closing. no further repairs suggested at this time"

Failure as found may be in part to (but not limited to) a faulty motherboard control, RC evaporator fan motor, defrost failure, etc. As this units Model / Serial tag has been removed with no other model identifier available, unable to accurately and without potential for error look up correct model information and/or parts needed for repair. Did find small amount of condensation inside the freezer on the shelving and on the back panel. Informed customer that the door may have been left open by accident, which caused moisture to get inside the unit and cause a temporary air flow restriction. "Got to this unit to find that the actuator was making an odd noise. Once this was found, got down underneath the unit to find oil and water present inside the cam cup. This is a direct indicator that the gear case has failed. It is my opinion that the oil and water mixture is making it difficult for the cam to actually move. Intern, the actuator is either worn out or having such an issue moving that it is clicking due to this issue. Gave customer estimate for what would basically be a washer rebuild to replace belt, cam gear, case and labor. And customer opted not to follow through with estimate. Their belief at this time is to get another unit.

Inspected unit and determine the heating element is getting 120vac but will not activate. Faulty heater. Need to be replaced. Gave customer an estimate and he approved it. "Customer concerned that the unit is not heating. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, verified proper power at the outlet. Pulled unit out with floor protection and accessed terminal block on the dryer. Started dryer and checked for voltage drop and voltage is steady at 120/120/240vac. Disassembled the unit and accessed the heating element. All thermostats are testing good but noticed one of the main connections to the element (purple wire) is melted and burnt the connection to the heating element. Need to install new connection onto purple wire and also replace the heating element due to the damage to the connection on the heating element. Quoted customer for a new Heater. Customer declining repair at this time but may call us back to proceed with the repair.
