Sr#7737414038 came back to this unit to install temperature sensor holder. Previous visit found temperature sensor laying on the bottom of the cabinet of the refrigerator section. Fix this with the temperature sensor holder. Discuss the findings of the dataloggers with the customer as well as reporting it to Whirlpool Techline for information and documentation purposes. Unit does appear to be providing proper temperatures more so than it was after the previous damper door replacement. Believe this to be the fix for these issues. "Found that any gas burner on the low simmer setting will go out when any drawer is opened directly under the cooktop. Found the safety relight feature is working properly so when the flame goes out, it does automatically relight. "Customer concerned that the unit is not producing ice. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, temperature in freezer 2 degrees. Verified no defrosting issue and evaporator fan is running. Accessed ice maker and found ice buildup in ice compartment due to condensation. Ran ice maker in test mode and unit cycles but does not complete. Found ice buildup on and near bail arm which was preventing the ice maker from fully cycling. Removed ice and ice maker cycles. Performed ice maker fill test and water was not filling into tray. Found ice buildup in fill tube as well. Cleared ice and flushed fill tube, unit cycling normal now. Upon further inspection of the ice maker, found abnormal wear on the twist tray due to normal wear and tear. Recommended replacing ice maker to prevent issue in the near future. Quoted customer for a new Ice Maker/W10873791 $89.87. Shipping: $12.99. Labor: $50. Tax: $12.80. TOTAL: $302.66. Customer declining repair at this time and is going to wait for it to fail first.

"Customer concerned that the unit is making abnormal noise after previous repair. Upon arrival, started unit and monitored. Noticed slight tapping noise coming from the machine. Noise is subtle. Disassembled the entire machine and tightened all screws and replaced all rollers. Applied lithium grease to all rollers and pulley. Also found 2 loose screws at the lint trap housing. Suspect noise possibly coming from the loose screws. Tightened screws and re-assembled unit. Ran unit with customer and noise is gone. Customer satisfied now. Job complete.

"Found the units ice maker water fill tube and fill cup frozen over allowing for water overflow during ice maker water fill cycles prior to total ice blockage and ice production failure. Issue as found likely the result of a seeping inlet water valve however, found multiple issues i.e. water supplied through a needle piercing valve, under sink filtration system, generic water filter installed in the unit, etc. which can result in identical failure. Per customer request, new dual inlet water valve supplied by pre-ID installed. Customer will have other forementioned issues addressed, monitor unit operations and call should further repair service be required. Customer to advise.

"Found the plastic bottom plate of the RC door assembly cracked near the lower RC door hinge. Units RC lower door hinge bent. Physical damage has caused misalignment of the RC door hindering proper door function, allowing for warm air infiltration leading to frost accumulation at the RC evaporator and scroll fan leading to intermittent noise issues. Level and hinge pin adjustments made improving door function and alignment. New RC door, lower RC door hinge (with cam, stop plate, etc.) and nameplate needed to correct. "This unit and swap the wiring harness out so that we had a solid set of wires for all parts and pieces in the bottom. After harness swap and installation of capacitor, ran calibration and automatic cycle to make sure that all parts and pieces are working properly. No issues found through testing or in operation. "I removed and replaced the drive motor and blower wheel and the Unit checks OK and is now making normal operating sounds. The sounds that the unit was making previously are no longer there and have been resolved. I demonstrated this to the customer also. Customer still not satisfied. States that he wants a new dryer. I explained to him that the unit is making normal operating sounds, and what he is hearing is the seam from the drum as it rolls over the roller wheels. And it is completely normal. and that I would call Whirlpool Techline to document his concerns and my repair. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke with Derek he documented todays repair and agreed that what the customer is hearing is the drum seamas it rolls over the support roller wheels. and no further suggestions for additional repairs from Whirlpool Techline. Dryer runs and heats as it should. Job complete. SR#7737920395
