Got to this unit and was able to take apart various parts and find that the gear case had been leaking oil. This oil leaking had gotten down into the rotor and was noticeable there for sure. Got the unit unit apart and found there to be no issues with the wash basket. Replace the gear case and slider that were ordered. Did not use agitator since the original one came off without issue after getting the unit back together ran multiple test and calibration to confirm operation. During test did not notice any out of the ordinary behavior or sounds. Job complete.

"Got to this unit to find that the icemaker was not working at all. Remove the cover to expose the icemaker and found multiple chunks of ice stuck in the maker and had wedged it to where the unit could not work. After the debris was removed ran a test on the icemaker and found that it only made approximately halfway through the cycle and froze up and stopped. Was not able to get this icemaker to, wake back up or any further functions. Customer estimate for a new icemaker at this point and was approved. After replacing icemaker, tested the unit and found unit to run through harvest without issue and also deliver water at the end of the cycle. Unit should be ready to ice from here forward Sensors and other items that were checked all checked good. Job complete.

Go to this unit to discover that the freezer section had some temperature refrigerator was sitting at 62. Unit was not sharing the cold from the freezer to the refrigerator due to the faulty fan. Replace the fan and tested. The unit was not sending full power. This intern was making it to where the fan was not working at all. Was able to get in the unit and replace the high voltage board that was sent with and further testing. Found this to be the resolve to the issue. No further issues found at this time. Unit is back to cooling properly.

"Customer concerned that the unit is not cooling properly in the refrigerator section. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, found ice buildup at the RC evaporator, indicating defrost issue. Checked service matters and pulled up the wiring diagram. Accessed control and tested output voltage from the main control to the RC thermistor and got 3vdc which is good. Resistance value of the thermistor is 27k ohms, which indicates that the thermistor is good. Suspect that the main control is not recognizing state of the thermistor, and is over cooling the RC evaporator. This thermistor has already been changed 3 times. Quoted customer for a new control, and will put in a new sensor at no cost for the customer since this was just changed recently. Job complete."

Entered unit into diagnostic mode and confirmed F8E1 fault code (long fill) entered manual component test and energized all solenoids on inlet valve. Appears as if water is coming in half speed. Unable to determine if caused by faulty valve or stainless steel water supply hoses(possibly water saving) installed new inlet valve. Found black substance partially blocking screen on hot side. Inspected pressure hose and confirmed no air leaks or splits in hose. Confirmed drain hose and drain pipe approximately 6 inches. Confirmed no siphoning issue. Job complete.

"Found UI keypad failure displayed on arrival. Power disconnected and units UI consul uninstalled for inspection finding no physical damage to the UI interface, wire harness, ribbon cables, connections, etc. All connections disconnected and reseated ensuring optimal contact. Power restored and both upper / lower ovens set for normal bake at 350?F. Heating operations initiated without fault however, failure again displayed within 10 minutes of cycle. Whirlpool process for repair instructs the installation of a new glass panel keypad as a first attempt to correct. Should failure persist to advance with additional component installation systematically starting with the user interface wire harness followed by the user interface control and ending at the ACU. This units glass keypad is still available however, at low availability, all other components have been discontinued by the manufacturer and are NLA. Due to the units age at +17yrs and limited available parts status the customer has opted not to advance with further action in attempt to repair. Customer to advise."

"Inspected unit and determine the condenser fan motor bracket was faulty loose therefore vibrating very loud while,the unit runs. Repaired problem by reinstalling the fan motor bracket tightly and securely. Also added gaskets underneath the upper freezer door gasket to prevent condensation buildup.
