"Per the customer, intermittently when attempting to start cycle the units Spin & Lid Lock indicators will begin flashing with continuous tone, lid will remain locked in the closed position. Once the fault condition has occurred it cannot be canceled at the UI panel. Power to the unit must be cycled, sometimes multiple times before resuming normal UI function. Unit initiated, exited and repeated multiple wash cycles of varying wash cycle options. Unable to duplicate intermittent failure unless fault condition had been purposefully and manually reproduced i.e. attempting to start cycle with the lid up or slightly lifting the lid partially disengaging the lid strike from the lid latch assembly during cycle operation. Both manually created fault conditions produced displayed conditions and tones as reported by the customer. "When I arrived the customer immediately began telling me that she wants a new unit. I plugged it in and turned it on and it would not fill with water. I removed the water filter and it began to fill. After a few minutes the compressor turned on. After about 25 minutes there wasnt any cooling at all taking place. The compressor and tubing remained cold. There is a sealed system leak. I explained to the customer that the repair would need to be done at our shop. She denied the repair saying that it is highly unlikely that she will ever see her appliance again . I tried to reassure her by letting her know that this is standard for us to do for this type of repair and that in fact, I was sent out today with an appliance dolly specifically for this, in the event that it was needed. She told me several times that she wants her warranty company to replace the unit. I asked her 5 to 6 times if she wanted me to take this to the shop to repair it and she said no. As I was leaving, she made a comment to me that this wasnt a very good visit. I suspect that is because she did not get a new appliance. Unit needs sealed system repair but customer declined. Once got into diagnostics found certain items would respond while others did not. After power cycling, the unit found that certain items that were not working or now working. Due to this, it has helped to decipher which parts to order. The aurora board being the main suspect for unit not cooling and light shutting off. The icemaker fan, not working properly after reset or during testing, has caused precaution and not able to adjust the feet on this unit properly due to the rubber coming off the bottom.
