"Found the units ice maker flex tray filled with solid and full sized cubes. Ice maker initiated ice harvest test finding the flex tray failing to fully advance through cycle. Ice maker flex tray failed to fully return to the home position. Ice maker failed to energize the water valve through cycle. Unable to confirm proper operation of the inlet water valve due to component failure. Additionally, the customer is reporting ice and frost accumulation development in the FC interior along the lower left portion nearing the FC door. Confirmed both the FC / RC door gaskets properly sealing. Some minor gapping was found between the units interior liner and the outer cabinet which may allow for some warm air infiltration and issues relating to frost and/or moisture. New ice maker needed to correct primary failure. Inlet water valve supplied by pre-ID to have on hand should the original be found faulty through testing following installation of the new ice maker assembly. "Got to the unit and verify temperatures temperature is good. Found all fans running that should be. Went into diagnostics and ran tests on compressor and fans. All parts are working properly. No strange noises heard. However, once I turn down the temperature in normal operations, after several minutes of running, could hear a slight vibration coming from the rear of the unit. Pulled the rear panel off and made micro adjustments to, the metal line surrounding the rear. Was not able to replicate vibration type noises, but I am no longer hearing the slight vibration that was heard originally by my ears. Re-leveled the unit after putting back in place and explain to customer what I was seeing hearing and what I did. As far as I can tell the unit should be good to go just having issue with, a very slight vibration"

Got to the unit to find that the wire on one of the hot legs had burnt off on the power cord. This was not allowing power into the unit. found that the junction block was melted at the terminal as well. The eyelids for the main harness were unharmed. Replace the junction block and got the unit back to normal. Not able to test at this time due to power cord needing replacement. Pictures taken to document this issue. Customer unhappy since they were under the impression that the cord and unit are under the same warranty. Had to inform her that this is not the case and that the cords are bought separately from the units. And then ran the following tests and all checked good.Test 57 harvestedTest 45 Fill test okTest 15 Ice level sensor ok with bin in and removed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke with Steve.Freezer thermistor 12.3k ohms at the control board. Freezer temp 20 which are correct for temp and resistance. I then checked fan operations and all fans and baffles were functioning fine. I checked frost pattern at freezer evaporator and had very minimal frost while unit was in a cooling cycle. Whirlpool Techline suggests sealed system issue at this point and for sealed system tech to come back and check pressures and check system for leaks. Found the protective metal insulator sleeve of the units power supply whip had been pulled from the strain relief coupler. Confirmed no damage and/or abrasion to the power supply whip electrical wires. Metal insulator sleeve reinstalled into the strain relief coupler and secure to correct. Customer to advise.
