Found bad ui and possibly main control parts discontinued customer to replace unit

Customers fridge is not doing what it has been doing with the lights but did not want to replace freezer light because of the price

F6E2 & F6E3 communications error codes. Unit needs new MCU & CCU. CCU no longer available. Customer will replace unit.job complete

Found fresh food door hinge screws loose causing the door to not close properly. I tightened all door hinge screws and tested all functions and the unit now checks ok.Job complete

Found unit with F7E1 error code for no heat... Unplugged unit while behind it and checked heater for resistance which i confirmed it had... I also ran unit through dio to reset the codes and control as recommended but advised customer she may still have a control issue and after explaining to her that storms can affect the control and she shows me her back fence was just hit by lightning recently so priced repairs for customer but they may just be going to get a new unit

Inspected icemaker in the unit and determine a piece of cube got stuck between the teeth of the shaft therefore not allowing it to cycle. Removed ice from shaft. Reset unit and icemaker should start to cycle. Customer will keep an eye on it and should have ice made by tomorrow morning if not she will call us back. Customer understood.

Got back to the unit to find that the boat for the rotor had come loose again. Was able to apply some thread locker to bolt and reinstall. Tested after that to find that the unit unit is now working correctly. Unit was having issues with the shifter engaging into the rotor. Testing now shows that the unit is working properly and no further issues found at this time. Collected for service call only. Job complete.

"Got to this unit to find that there were small chunks of ice in the ice bin only. With investigation found there to be two small chunks of ice stuck in the Times of the icemaker. This was keeping the icemaker from rolling around and creating more ice. Once these pieces were removed, had to initiate the harvest cycle and found all of the harvest cycle to be working correctly. no further issues found at this time. Job complete.

Got back to this unit and installed new control. After control installed found that the parts of the unit were actually responding and working with control from that point forward. Went through and checked to ensure that settings were set properly. No further issues found at this time.

Sr7739320187 upon arrival found unit not cooling at all inspected evaporator and all accessible components was unable to locate die called Whirlpool tech-support. They have put the unit in for a review.

"On arrival found the unit disconnected from power with an estimated 8 inches of standing water within the tub. Unit restored to power for testing at which point the units drain pump energized but unable to drain. Unit manipulated freeing the drain pump impeller restoring proper drain function. Unit ran through calibration cycle and auto test in diagnostics without fault and/or water leaks. All unit test and operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to continue normal use of the unit and if I should further service be required.

Removed and replaced control and cover assy all ops test ok customer to advise.

Unit has locked up compressor. Not worth repair.

"SEAL SYSTEM PROBLEM!Diagnose unit and determine the compressor is faulty. Will need to be replaced. There is a service pointer for this unit which is covering parts & labor. Install new compressor , process valve and dryer . Vacuum system for 30 minutes . Recharge system with correct amount of refrigerant r600a 56 grams. Unit is now cooling properly. Job complete.

Diagnosed unit and determine the toilet bowl water valve leveler switch had to be resetted and also the hose from the micro switches had to be cleaned. Tested dunit and it is now working and making ice. Tested properly. Job complete.

Checked unit over and unit is working properly and is clean inside. Mrs was concerned about Lint Filter light. Showed Mrs in BSH service manual Lint Filter LED Reminder only to clean filter. There is no sensor showing lint levels. Also sold customer new vent hose. All checks OK at this time.

Found drain pump shorted causing unit to lose power when pump tries to run. Unit is 15 years old and not economical to repair. Mrs to replace.

Found suspension rods badly worn causing OOB loads. Replaced suspension rod kit from truck stock. Calibrated unit and ran through both auto and manual tests which all completed without fault. All operations check OK at this time.

"Found FC at 23F and FF at 38F. Ran cooling test and verified compressor, fans and switching valve all operational. All thermistors test OK. Filter drier is ice cold to the touch and I have very little heat transfer on condenser even with fan motor stopped. Unit is low on refrigerant. Cafe offers 5 years parts and labor on sealed system, Mrs contacted them directly for assistance.

Refrigerator needs work but customer to buy new

"Upon arrival, found a layer of ice cubes sitting in the bottom of the ice bin. Appears as if cubes are getting smaller during each harvest. I cycled the icemaker and confirmed tiny slivers being ejected. Performed icemaker fill test and confirmed proper water level to the top of the icemaker mold. confirmed good temperatures. Notified tech-support and confirmed. Good amp draw at compressor deeming no cooling issues found. Fill tube heater has a good reading of 4.78 k ohms . Per tech-support, Icemaker or thermister check at main control p7 1&2 (pk & tn) 0* = 23.5 ohms and 17* = 14.3 ohms should be the lowest reading. I lowered the freezer setting to -3? and confirmed water filter properly locked into correct position. Advised mess to empty ice bin and allow the weekend for ice to produce again if issue continues whirlpool advises replacing icemaker.

"Found no airflow into refrigerator section due to frosted up freezer evaporator. Put into forced defrost and defrost heater immediately kicked on, however, compressor relay is stuck closed causing to frost up faster than it can defrost. Replaced jazz board, programmed new control and all checks OK.

"Refrigerator stopped making ice and after resetting still not responding,I installed new icemaker and cycled and filled as designed

Installed new control drain pump and harness before testing unit and confirmed unit now working like it should and i even loaded a affresh tablet in the washer before i left to clean washer

Installed new control board. Confirmed lights working correctly.

Got back to this unit and was able to install new nameplate on the door. No further issues found or to speak of with the customer. Job complete.

Installed new belt and confirmed proper operation. Job complete.

"Customer concerned that the unit is not completing a cycle and is displaying error codes. Confirmed issue. Checked error codes and found error codes for overload, oversuds, motor cant reach target RPM, and shifter failure. Ran through diagnostics cycle and noticed that the unit will not agitate, it will only spin. Accessed bottom of unit and found actuator is stripped and also found wear on the cam drive pulley. Quoted customer for a new actuator and cam kit. Customer approved repair cost. Installed new parts, tested unit and performed calibration, all ops good. Job complete.

"Upon arrival, confirmed freezer door seal is properly sealing. Found extreme frost buildup from evaporator fan motor to the top of the freezer. Found foam block (controls air flow) had fallen out of position causing poor suction from freezer side. (Photos attached.) Alsos found small dimple at top of refrigerator door, allowing room air to migrate into refrigerator. Repositioned foam block and placed small piece of foam behind refrigerator door seal. Advised if issue continues, refrigerator door seal will need to be replaced. Job complete."

Used hair dryer to soften gasket at top right hand corner of freezer door to form tight seal. Also applied whirlpool adhesive in that corner as well. All functions check OK. Job complete.

Found condenser line making vibration via contact to frame tested checked ok

"Found all UI control LED temp setting indicators illuminated for the LR cooktop element. Units UI control unresponsive. Power cycle conducted without change. No less than a new UI control will be needed to correct however, due to the unit age at +23yrs nearly all operational components to include the UI control have been discontinued by the manufacture and are NLA. Unable to conduct repair due to discontinued parts status. Customer has been advised. Power to the unit left off at the homes circuit breaker for safety.

"Installed new garbage disposal and tested good afterwards

"Found the unit disconnected from power and at ambient temperature upon arrival. Prior to part installation full inspection conducted. Confirmed proper resistance of both the defrost heater element and defrost thermistor. All FC wire harness connections secure. However, did find the units defrost sensor loosely connected resulting in poor thermal read as noted in Whirlpool Technical Service Pointer #: W11550688 Rev. A. All test procedures conducted as per the pointer finding no other operational and/or related component failures. Units defrost thermistor secured for optimal defrost performance. Power restored to the unit for diagnostic testing. Found the units start device relay tripping out on overload in compressor run test. Through second course of diagnostic testing and normal cooling operations the units compressor has resumed normal function. Confirmed proper frost pattern developing at the evaporator. All unit tests and operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to monitor and advise should further service be required.

"On arrival found *Service EC 40 / EC 24 displayed. Unit ran through diagnostic testing confirming all unit thermistors reading accurately. As reported found heavy frost accumulation on the RC rear panel throughout the area of the RC evaporator. Found multiple frozen items throughout the lower section of the RC. Units FC temperature checks good matching set point of 0?F +/- 3?F. Confirmed proper function and operation of both the FC / RC light and fan switches / fan motors. Door seal of both the FC / RC also check good finding no areas of worm air and filtration. Further inspection has found proper operation and speed of the condenser fan motor however, the condenser was found to be heavily matted preventing proper airflow and dissipation of heat resulting in long compressor runtimes and warmer operational temperatures. Philip with Subzero Tech Support advised on findings and has suggested unit status and conditions found appear due to a possible intermittent fault of the units RC evaporator fan motor door switch, evaporator fan motor and/or warm air infiltration. Units door switch and light switch show no signs of hesitation and/or failure. Units RC evaporator fan motor also operating at speed without hesitation and/or fault at time of service. Customer is confident the door has not been left ajar at any point. Units condenser blown out under compressed air to clear heavy matting, matting debris cleared from the unit compartment area. All frost cleared from the units RC evaporator to restore proper airflow. All unit test and operations cleared upon completion of service. Customer to monitor and advise should further service be required.

Went through every possible fix for an hour and a half connectivity team finally is going to be in the unit nonrepairable and submitted for product exchange effective immediately.
