"Found at some point prior to customer ownership of the unit a glass shelf and/or panel had shattered within the RC allowing shattered safety glass to fall through the RC air return ports into the FC. Glass shelf and/or panel had been replaced prior to purchase however, shattered glass had not been cleared. Shattered glass accumulated throughout the FC evaporator drip tray, shifting during initial delivery, later moves and normal flow of defrost water / ice sheeting, etc. eventually blocking the defrost drain tube. With the defrost drain tube blocked, melt water through defrost cycles overflow and buildup on the FC floor panel hindering proper door function and seal. Units evaporator, defrost drip tray, defrost drain tube, etc. uninstalled. Shattered glass vacuumed and flushed clearing all areas restoring unobstructed flow of defrost water. All unit tests and operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to monitor and advise should further service be required."

Got to this unit and had to break apart all the ice in the bottom of the unit before servicing this unit. The drain was also found to be clogged which contributed to the ice production into the floor of this unit. This was also keeping the door from closing correctly. Was able to install new heater and thaw this unit out. Once this was done tested and insured that the drain is now free flowing. No further issues found at this time. Job complete.

However, found estimated 1' inch of standing water at the back of the ice bin nearing the drain port causing ice produced to more rapidly melt leading to near continuous ice production and prolonged operational sounds reported. Found drainage interruptions due to an obstructed pressure hose of the drain system. Drain pump pressure hose removed and cleared of all debris restoring normal drain pump function. Customer instructed to monitor and advise should further service be required.
