"Customer concerned that the ice maker is still not working. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, verified proper temperature in the freezer and ice room. Verified no defrosting issue. Entered diagnostics and tested the ice box fan and it is working well. Removed cover to the ice maker and forced a harvest. The motor started to turn but mold heater did not turn on because ejection arms get jammed up against the ice and will not eject the ice from the mold. Removed cover to access harness to ice maker and found damage to the harness and somebody tried to repair. Check quick pics. Removed connection and re attached as it looks like it might not have been getting a good connection. Also changed ice maker due to mold heater not working. Tested ice maker fill and ice maker is filling to the proper level. Found no other issues at this time. Customer to monitor over the weekend. Job complete."

"Mrs reported intermittent water on the floor toward LH side of unit. Checked all water lines, valves and defrost drains/pan and could not find any leaks or evidence of leaks. I did find the FF ice bin was frozen solid and saturated with frost underneath it. Removed ice bin, cleared out ice and made sure ice chute opens and closes properly. Its possible the ice chute is intermittently not shutting causing ice to melt and drip onto floor. Mrs will be going away for a few days and I recommended turning off water supply and ice maker while away. Mrs will call back and advise on return if there is more water on the floor which will help to isolate the problem if ongoing.

"Found that the unit was completely clogged with lint. Blow wheel was obstructed by lint, causing poor ventilation and vibration. I disassembled the entire unit and cleaned all of the lit out of it. I took pictures of the unit before and after and showed the customer. All functions now check. I advise customer to have event cleaned professionally as soon as possible. Job complete."

"I started by using my shop vac to empty the contents of the unit as it was full with water. I was not able to remove and replace the main control, wire harness, and drain pump. I then tested all functions and the unit now checks OK. Due to the fact that the unit had been sitting with water in it. I had the customer run a clean washer cycle with some vinegar And then advised her to use one of her a fresh cleaning tablets. All functions check OK job complete.

Checked valve and sumo assembly and found no defect or leak. Spray arms are secure and dont seem to be cracked. Found slightly loose vent cap on the inner door, and no high loop under the sink. Adjusted vent cap and zip tied line up higher under the sink. Ran unit a bit longer and found no leak whatsoever. Informed customer to monitor and let us know if they notice any leaks. "SR# 7739163328 - Found evaporator frosted up again. Spoke with Whirlpool Techline and advised what weve done so far. Heater and thermistor both still check good. Tested defrost thermistor through the cabinet to main control and verified no broken wires. Was recommended to replace main control board. Replaced control and unit kicked into a defrost immediately. Assisted the defrost manually with a steamer since it was so frosted up. All operations test OK at this time, customer will monitor and advise."

SR# 7739156663 - found unit throwing inverter failure fault and also mica plate burnt. Pulled unit and found magnetron antenna completely burned up and 2 arc marks in waveguide. Advised Techline on unit and confirmed unit is non-repairable due to burnt waveguide. Customer to replace.

Diagnosed unit and determine the bake element is getting 220vC but will not turn on. It is faulty. Will need to be replaced. Gave customer an estimate for the repair and she approved it.

"Got back to this unit to hear from the customer that in trying different load sizes they were still only seeing the minimum settings or medium set for water given. Changed out the user interface to test to see if this would make any difference. On a white setting cycle was able to achieve a full basket of water Without clothes. However, when further testing was done to find out if high or medium was giving correct amounts found out the unit. Unit appeared to only be giving medium amount of water on a high setting. Because of this call back into tech line and spoke with them again.because of the route that we have taken, there are no further repairs to be made according to Techline. This unit will be sent over to engineers and the customer will have to deal with customer service about this issue from here out. Job complete."

Checked unit found unit not cooling. Checked pressures and they were low. Corrected pressures to test. Customer does not want to do sealed system repair at this time.

"Sr#7739147465 from tech lineTrade partner reference # 7739034632 Got back to this unit and had installed new bottom drawer slides. With installing these parts found that there was absolutely no change in the behavior of the opening and closing of the drawer if anything it was almost identical. Due to this issue immediately called into tech line to get this reported and recorded. While waiting for Techline to answer, found there to be further damage to the lower extremities of the cabinet or feet of this unit , this was damaged enough to see the enamel missing from the legs on the feet. This was recorded and documented with Techline because of the issues found line not only recorded this, but had me call into trade partners to see what was going to be done for the customer. Called into tech line and got information relayed over to them. Was told that with this sort of damage the customer should expect a phone call from trade partners within 3 to 5 days. Gave the customers this information as well as the SR numbers for both trade partners and tech line. Believes that the unit has been deemed non-repairable, but is being sent for review."

Found top hinge screw rounded out called techline advised will be sent for review for product exchange sr#7739145316. Advised customer that whirlpool will contact them of exchange and time of delivery.

Removed and replaced ui and main control all ops test ok fans and comp started to run unit cooling and disp water customer to advise.

Replaced heat pump assembly. Tested through a cycle and all operations check OK at this time.

Found cam not grabbing gear case properly potentially from the actuator getting stuck or not shifting all the way...Installed new actuator and cam and unit performed properly in testing... If customer has issue again will call techline as we may be getting faulty electrical parts or control may be causing issue or harness shorting out

"Got back to this unit and installed new icemaker. This was specifically due to the fact that the data recorder was showing negative one for a -2? setting in the unit unit. This is more than adequate temperature for this unit to be producing ice. However, since I have been here, this unit has barely made half of a bin of ice. Customer has not been home during this time. Temperatures fluctuate. Retrieve data today as well. Since new icemaker is installed and installed new motor for the dispenser flap this part was causing irregular noises intermittently. If these issues continue, will have to come back and discuss with Techline the next steps to fix this. At this time, we need to let the unit do its job and see what its going to do on its own.
