Go to this unit and installed new wash pump motor after removing the previous one. After installation tested. Unit is now washing and no further issues found at this time. All parts and pieces are working correctly. Job complete.

Go back to this unit and found that the icemaker was indeed not making ice. Pulled the unit out and unplugged. After doing so was able to put new control board in. After this was able to test and find that the icemaker is rolling over on its own and working correctly. No further issues seen at this time believe this unit to be making ice in the future and no longer having problems. Job complete.

"Got to this unit to find no heat coming from the heating element. Tested power and found that the unit was receiving 240 V and had proper ground and neutral as well. Further testing after taking the unit apart found heating element was only receiving 120 V Unit was not getting power from the control. As this was being discussed with the customer, also looked up the main control board for this unit and found it to be discontinued. Made customer aware of this information. Customer is going to get a different unit. job complete"

Found motor not hitting target RPM due to drive belt saturated and shredding. Cleaned pulleys and replaced drive belt. Motor is now getting up to speed and all checks OK.

Installed LEDs all ops ok.

Found FC cooling properly around 0F and RC temps around 50F+. Verified damper opens and closes properly. Found both lower air returns were completely frozen over. Customer states freezer door was most likely left open which created the problem. Defrosted returns and verified good incoming airflow from freezer Evap fan motor. Also showed customer the rear of the unit which has the very early signs of poorly insulated refrigerant lines which causes the units to rust out the back. Customer will periodically check on the problem and understands its non-repairable once the insulation is saturated. Unit is cooling at this time and customer will advise.

Found drive belt slipping on motor and drive pulley due to oil saturation. Advised customer this is common with these units and the transmissions will seep oil over time but does not necessarily indicate a faulty transmission. Per GE they overfill gearcases from the factory. Cleaned and degreased both pulleys and replaced belt from truck stock. Unit ran through testing properly and hit high speed spin. All checks OK at this time.

Replaced user interface and main control board. Had to defrost evaporator again due to being completely encased in ice. Unit is on and cooling and all checks OK at this time. Customer will monitor and advise.

Installed new control and thermistor and advised customer to mointor unit and if any issues to contact our office in the next 30 days

"Following prior service the customer had removed the unit from power for 24hrs as advised however, the RC doors had not been left open preventing full defrost of the RC evaporator. Since returning the unit to power frost has continued to develop and again encapsulate the FC evaporator and evaporator cover. Both diagnostic and extensive multimeter testing conducted prior to part installation. No component failures found and/or reported through diagnostics. At the HV control confirmed proper DCV between 0.5 & 1.6 supplied to the RC Evap / RC / FC thermistors. All thermistors reading accurate to actual temp: 25.6 kohm RC Defrost thermistor -5?F (encapsulated in ice), 6.89 kohm +40?F RC thermistor (lowest DCV @ 1 VDC supplied), 14.6 kohm FC thermistor +8?F. All frost and ice accumulation cleared from the RC evaporator assembly finding no deflection of the evaporator drip tray, drip tray service kit ordered not needed. Found the RC evaporator defrost thermistor hanging loosely on the evaporator preventing optimal thermal transfer which will allow for shortened and incomplete defrost cycles. As per the latest Whirlpool Service Pointer, modifications conducted utilizing misc truck stock i.e. RC evaporator defrost thermistor secured, RC evaporator secured, evaporator cover secured, etc. Unit ran through diagnostic test No. 4 confirming proper function and operation of the switching valve solenoid. Original cause of RC frost development may or may not have been due to poor contact between the RC evaporator and RC evaporator defrost thermistor and/or communications failure since corrected through power cycle. Travis with Whirlpool T/L advised on unit history, results through testing and current status. T/L has agreed, should failure reoccur, installation of a new UI control would be advised to correct and best help prevent reoccurring failure. Customer will monitor unit operations, temperature, ice production, etc. and advise should further service be required. Quote listed is for estimate only. Well after testing unit and speaking with customer come to find out he has had some drainage issues with house and this unit has a down pipe into a elbow and than back up and out the wall... i explained after certain cycles or many uses during the day it may have backed up also he has found water on the floor on the side of the machine.. i found they have been using to much soap and the holes in the front of the bellow is clogged... Customer is going to clean pipes and he knows if unit acts up after that he can call us within 30 days

Called Techline first to report this and then was told to get with trade care partners to get authorization. Call both of these agencies and got these numbers they are listed at the top. Got new parts installed and tested operation. Unit is now working correctly no further issues found at this time.

"Got to this unit to find that the agitator was not working. This was due to the cam/clutch failure, found this part and pieces of it underneath the unit. It was clear that the unit was only doing a shimmy rather than an agitation. This was audibly heard and reinforced by finding parts underneath. Was able to replace both the belt and the cam to fix this today. Had given customer estimate and was approved. Job complete.;

Found controls behaving erratically and Mrs stated unit would intermittently not drain or complete a cycle. Connected using SmartHQ and no faults were currently active. Ran a full diagnostic test and all functions passed and no errors were found. Did a control reset and was able to the run the unit through a quick wash. Most likely electronics were glitching as the unit mechanically checks OK. Mrs will monitor and advise on unit.

"Found F28 Serial communications fault between CCU and MCU. Verified serial harness between both boards ohms out good. Cleaned buildup off both sides of connectors. Ran unit through a drain and spin and verified motor went into high speed spin under load. Possible intermittent board issue or we had a poor connection. One issue I did note is that both forms of diagnostics built into the CCU do not function. This could indicate a software issue in the CCU which is NLA. "Found freezer evaporator drain pan frozen over due to no heat transfer metal from defrost heater down into drip pan. I used my steamer to clear the drain. And then applied heat transfer metal plate wrapped around heater and down about an inch and a half into drain. All functions check OK. Job complete.

"Since prior service found the new ice maker installed has failed to advance through cycle. Binary flash of the ice level the emitter continues to report open beam with or without obstructed path. New ice level emitter and receiver control kit installed. Upon restoring power proper read between the ice level emitter and receiver have been restored. Ice maker advanced through and completed harvest cycle to include proper water fill without fault and/or water leaks. Customer instructed to monitor unit temperatures, operations, ice production, etc. and advise should further service be required.

Noticed that the actuator is making a loud noise, because it is not able to shift. Removed shifter and cam assembly and found wear on the gearcase shaft. This is causing the cam to slip on the gearcase, and is also getting bound up during shifting. To properly fix this, will need to replace the gearcase, cam, belt, and actuator again. Customer declining quote for the remaining parts.

Also found temperature sensor to be good and viable. If this continues for this unit, the defrost timer would be the part needed for this repair. gave customer price of this part in case we needed to come back. Noise is very intermittent and due to installation, I could not run the unit while it was uninstalled. If customer calls back for additional noise issues, need to return with extra time and extra hands to call Techline and try to run a cord long enough to power the unit with it uninstalled from cabinetry for testing purposes, but will need assistance to do so. Customer will monitor and advise."

Sr# 7739676595 got back to this unit and replaced left-hand door hinge as well as door gasket. After replacing these items could immediately see that we were not making any difference in the amount of gap between the left side of the oven and the door and or gasket. Because of this decided to call tech line and get this recorded immediately. tech line had me take multiple photos of this unit to send in for review. Approximately 15 photos sent in to help with this issue. SR number at the beginning of this ticket. Was told that this unit was being sent off for engineering to review and that the customer should be receiving a phone call from Whirlpool within 3 to 5 business days. customer has the SR number as well in case that is necessary. Waiting on Whirlpool to get back to this customer.

Installed new lint duct and seal. Found about a gallon of water came out of vent hose when disconnecting from dryer. Advise consumer to have vent for dryer cleaned.

Inspected unit and ran a test on all components and they check out good. Found no errors. Customer stated unit Ui had gone in a shut down mode but then turned back days after.
