"Found standing water within the tub, unable to drain with 120VAC supplied to the drain pump motor. All water vacuumed from the unit at the discharge hose confirming unobstructed path for discharge water. With all water cleared unit ran through Drain & Spin cycle confirming proper operation of the drive motor and balance of the tub assembly at high speed spin. Drain failure preventing further operation due to a failed drain pump motor assembly. New drain pump motor needed to correct primary failure found. Got back to this unit and installed parts that were ordered. Did find that when the shoot was pulled out the gaskets were not aligned properly to keep the moisture out from underneath the shoot. Believe this to be intern causing icing problems under the ice bin and complications for the ice bin to work effectively. After parts replacement check to ensure that this unit was providing crushed and cubed ice appropriately. Could find no reason why this unit was not working correctly moving forward. Job complete.

"Customer complaint some food items freezing in FF section. Connected unit using SmartHQ and found no recent/relevant fault codes pertaining to this issue. However I did find a software update that is supposed to resolve nuisance freezing and warming and has Improved cycling to create temperatures more accurate to set point. The unit had a FF fan and SUM module installed roughly 2.5 months ago, and the software version that GE provided on that module was not the most current, however, without SmartHQ we had no way of knowing this. So opposed to doing a part warranty on the module I have updated the unit today to most current version. After the update, all components are checking good and no faults found after diagnostic test. Got back to this unit and did more testing thought that the unit was beginning to drain better than with more testing found exactly the opposite. With the belief that we were about to change the drain pump started back into taking the unit back apart and decided to check a little bit further into the tub only to find two different bra inserts that were completely clogging the bottom of the drainwas almost 4 inches up into the bottom of the tub. After these parts were removed put the unit back through testing to find it to be draining. Extraordinarily well. No further issues found at this time job complete.

"On arrival found the units evaporator fan motor operating above normal sound volume with heavy vibration. Unit temperatures well above setpoint, +55?F within the RC. Further inspection has found ice and frost buildup of the evaporator at the upper 2/3Rds. Normal frost pattern at the lower 1/3rd portion of the evaporator. Diagnostic testing confirmed the units defrost heater circuit functional. Ice and frost buildup at the evaporator may or may not have begun development prior to being switched from a DC to timed defrost setting. All ice and frost cleared from the units evaporator restoring path for airflow. New evaporator fan motor supplied by pre-ID installed eliminating noise and vibration issue. All unit test, operations and sound check good upon completion of service. Customer instructed to monitor unit operations, temperatures, frost development, etc. and advise should further service be required.

Found the units FC upper drawer pulled from the track preventing the FC door from fully sealing allowing for continued air infiltration leading to widespread frost accumulation and ice buildup progressively worsening drawer function and seal over time. Units FC door and drawers removed. All ice and frost accumulation cleared finding no physical damage. All remaining moisture wiped away and all parts reinstalled. Confirmed proper FC door / drawer function through full range of motion and door seal restored. Customer to advise.

Found middle spray arm, not rotating during operation due to multiple blockage in spray holes. Cleaned out inlet valve screen for better water flow. Customer mentioned that during spin cycle unit will go off balance and move around. I tested the unit without anything in there. I tested the suspension. I checked spin basket for proper drainage. All functions checked OK. I tried to explain to the customer proper loading of the machine. She is used to older style machines. I demonstrated to both her and her husband how and why the machine functions. In high-speed spin the unit performs flawlessly as it should. Customer instruct only today. Job complete. "Got to this one to find that customer reports of water leaking out the right hand side of the unit no real rhyme or reason just occasionally happens. Was trying to reproduce the issue and put the unit into a short defrost to find the unit responding but not necessarily re-creating the issue. Since we were not seeing the problem at hand, but the unit into a long defrost cycle and waited. Unit was still not showing any signs of reproducing the issue. So with much discussion finally left the house. While I was in the midst of doing paperwork, the customer to come out and say hey, its doing it now. got back to the unit and found lots of water on the right hand side of the refrigerator. Pull the unit out and found that the drain hose was disconnected for the freezer side of the unit. This definitely was the issue. Water was running down inside and coming down through the inside of the unit to the right hand side. replace drain hose into correct position and unit should be back to normal operation. Job complete."
