Found circulation pump grinding/bound up. Pump is barely turning spray arms. Verified no obstructions in pump. Pump is original and is 23+ years old. Parts are no longer available for the unit. Customer to replace.

Inspected unit and determine the latch mechanism on the water filter housing came apart. Customer wants to get it fixed instead of replacing the water housing if it can be done. Advised customer the problem we have is if I try to pry the filter out of the housing their a %85 percent chance the housing will break since its made out of plastic. He understood and said to leave it that way for now since it has the new water filter intact and then in a few months from now when he needs to get the filter replaced he will call us so we can bring the new water filter housing this way we can do it the same day. Job complete.

Found cup in vent

Complaint unit will not operate. When I try to activate the bake or broil the unit says feature not available. I went into diagnostics and tried the auto test and the unit popped up with a F1E0 and told me to replace the control. The control is disconnected. The customer will have to get a new unit.

Got into the unit to find the drain clogged. Was able to steam the drain out and have proper flow down. Said drain. Installed new harness and temperature sensor incorrect locations. Put new cover on and insured frost pattern before cover was reinstalled. Unit has proper frost pattern fan is working properly. Installed control as well. Job complete

"F0-E5 (Off Balance Load) recorded in unit history, cleared prior to testing. Inspection has found the units suspension and hub heavily worn both of which issues will result in out of balance load conditions, high speed spin failures and noise issues. New suspension kit and hub needed to correct primary failures found. "GATE CODE: *0607#. Customer concerned that the unit is not heating. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, verified 120/120/240vac at the outlet. Disassembled the unit and tested high limit thermostat and cycle thermostat and they are good. Checked continuity of the heating element and its testing open. Removed heating element and found physical break in the element. Quoted customer for a new Heating Element/WP3387747. Customer agreed to charges. Installed new pre ordered heating element and re-assembled. Tested unit and it is heating now. All ops good at this time.

"Inspected unit and determine one of the hot wires going to the heating element was loose, not making contact therefore the heater was not getting energized with 220vac not heating. Repaired problem by rewiring the connection to the heater tightly and securely. It is now heating and working properly. Job complete."

Unit needs a new icemaker CUSTOMER PAID IN FULL they want to buy the part themselves and call when part comes in

"Customer reports, a few days after prior service water had started to drip from the FC ceiling area and slowly accumulate throughout the FC. Units FC / FC temperatures appear to remain mostly unaffected. Through further inspection found the units defrost drain within the FC evaporator housing had frozen blocking drainage of defrost water resulting in icing issue as found. Unit removed from power and all ice / frost thawed throughout the evaporator housing restoring flow of defrost water to the defrost drain pan. All remaining ice and moisture cleared from within the FC. All initial unit operations check good upon completion of repair. Customer to monitor and advise.

I replaced the motor with new part and the unit is acting as designed with no unusual noises.

Complaint loud noise and unit stops spinning mid cycle. I found that the motor cover was torn up and detached from the unit but still in the way. I ran the unit in diagnostics and a normal cycle and the unit ran through as designed. With no faults or errors. I collected the $130 service call by cash and advised the customers to let us know if they continue to have issues.

Installed ice maker all ops ok.

Tech checked unit and found shorted heater element . Tech replaced from truck stock. Tested unit all checks good.

"When I arrived All of the interior lights were not working, the pantry drawer user face was also not working and not illuminating. Fresh food temps were around 55. When I entered the unit into diagnostics and check for icemaker error codes, it would not display anything. I tried to cycle the icebox fan in diagnostics and it would not work. I removed the pantry drawer, user interface and found it sitting in a puddle of water and the wire harness corroded. Pics attached. I disconnected the wires from the control and dried out all of the water that was in that cavity. At that point the lights came back on. However Controls still did not function properly. Most likely the pantry draw user interface, sitting in a puddle of water shorted out other controls as well. I explained to the customer that it could not be determined which one would need to be replaced until we replaced them one at a time. Both her and her husband are bedridden and under hospice care. She needs a refrigerator immediately and does not want to go through the process of trying to repair unit. I called appliance direct on Malabar Road in Palm Bay for them and helped her purchase a new one over the phone with Thomas. Thomas was very helpful. Appliance direct will be delivering a new appliance within the next several days. no work done today. Job complete.

"Found the detergent dispenser door latch had come free from the securing clip allowing the latch and clip to separate from the dispenser assembly. Found no significant damage to either the latch and/or clip. All parts reassembled and secure to correct. Units dispenser door now fully functional. Customer to advise.

Sr7738029640 called whirlpool tech line after reporting pressures. They have determined it is either the Ui or the main control. Drops the temperatures on the control and advise Mrs. to monitor unit and if she calls back to give her an estimate for the UI and main control.
