Complaint washer wont start. I found a F2E1 and a F5E1 error codes in diagnostics. Unit would run fine in diagnostics but the user interface was no allowing me to put on a cycle. I called tech line and they confirmed customer would need a new UI. I Quoted customer. Customer decided to get part himself and install.

"Found the unit off and at ambient temperature upon arrival. Unit ran through diagnostic testing finding all components fully functional to include compressor operation however, with no heat transfer throughout the sealed system compartment area and/or cooling of the evaporator plate confirming ice production failure due to a leak of the sealed system. Complete sealed system rebuild needed to correct. Customer advised on findings and has opted not to advance with repair service due to repair cost meeting or exceeding replacement cost. Customer to advise.

"Installed hose and found its still leaking but its not coming from the hose, I quickly saw it leaking right frost, the base of the tank. Not worth repair"

"Got to this unit to find drain completely frozen over. The P-trap had a piece of algae stuck in it. Replaced P-trap and had to thaw out drain from the inside. Once this was thawed, the unit was able to drain properly. No further issues found at this time."

"F1-E6 (Microwave Generation Error) recorded multiple times in unit history, cleared prior to testing. Extensive multimeter testing conducted confirming interlocks and all door switches fully functional. All fuses, thermals, etc check good. All connections secure with no damage to the wire harness found. Following all testing procedures as noted in the Whirlpool Service Manual pertaining to the F1-E6 fault both a new inverter control and magnetron supplied by pre-ID installed to correct. Upon completion of repair all microwave functions and heating have resumed without fault. Customer to advise.

Once unit reached agitation, the entire basket started turning and not the agitator. Accessed the cam and shift actuator underneath the unit and tested the actuator, and its working. Found that the cam assembly is seized and not shifting properly. Need new Cam Kit/W10721967. Customer agreed to charges. Installed new cam kit from truck stock. Ran unit through automatic test cycle again and it passed. Performed calibration on the unit, tested, all ops good at this time.

"Customer reported burning smell emitting from FF section. Checked every component in the unit: fans, lights, switches, compressor, icemaker, etc. Could not find any burnt wiring or plastic. Customer did state the ice tasted funny and turned off the icemaker days ago. Could not find any problems inside the I/m module, but motor could be overheating after days of use and creating odor. Will have customer leave icemaker on for a few days and see if the smell returns. If customer calls back please send me back with a new icemaker. Customer will advise.

"Per the customer, overheat condition had been a one time occurrence while drying a large sheets load using the Timed Dry setting (Temperature Setting unknown). Immediately following the unit was removed from power to prevent use and potential component damage. Multimeter testing conducted confirming the heater element not open or shorted to ground. Units cycling thermals, thermal fuse, safety cut-off, exhaust thermistor, moisture sensor, etc. all check good. All connections check good with no damage to the wire harness found. No signs of component damage, overheating and/or burning. Power restored to the unit for component and thermal load testing. Units heater circuit cycling normally and without fault. Cycling times, temperature range and airflow all check good. Unable to duplicate over temperature conditions or operational fault of any unit component. Unit functioning as designed at time of service. Customer advised on findings as well as Use & Care for optimal performance. "New exterior cabinet, rear exterior panel and leveling feet (Qty4) installed. Unit adjusted for level. Unit ran through full diagnostic testing without fault and/or water leaks. All unit operations to include sounds check good upon completion of repair. Customer to advise.

"Found reoccurring thin ice cube production not due to component failure but the result of the customer adding a new optional unit water filter in addition to the already installed under sink filtration system supplying water to the unit. Use of both water filters has resulted in significant reduction of water flow to the water reservoir leading to short cycling and thin ice cube production. Through diagnostic manual load testing, demonstrated to the customer water pressure to the water reservoir both with the secondary filter installed and uninstalled. Units water filter uninstalled and replaced with the original water filter cover. Customer advised, no more than one water filtration system can be utilized without adversely affecting ice production. Customer to monitor and advise should further repair service be required."

"Customer stated unit was leaking. When I arrived, there wasnt a kickplate on the bottom. I started a normal cycle and laid on the floor for about 40 minutes and at no time did the dishwasher leak. I explained to the customer that what he experienced couldve been caused by an item inside deflecting water during the wash cycle. Unit did not appear to have excess soap buildup inside of it neither. no problems found today. Job complete."

Unit needs new wash motor assembly and potentially control board. Customer will replace unit. Job complete.

"Customer concerned that the unit will shut off after 5 minutes and display F3E2 error code. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, checked service matters for code and found that the code is for shorted moisture sensor. Checked moisture bars for any cracks and they are good. Cleaned the moisture bar and tested on a normal cycle with a damp paper towel on the sensor. Unit ran for 20 minutes and code did not show back up. Checked vent on the exterior of the home and flow is good. Instructed customer to clean the moisture bar ever once in a while to clear it of any buildup, to prevent mis readings. Customer understood.

Tech checked unit and found unit with f8e1 error (long fill) couldnt find any functional issues with unit . Ran unit through a quick diagnostic cycle and all checks good. Advised cust if problem persist to call office .
