"On arrival found the homeowner had partially disassembled the unit in attempt to correct i.e. uninstalled the top panel, component shield, console, control, etc. Found primary noise issue reported due to the drum sitting askew within the cabinet and out of alignment with the upper front bearing assembly. This unit had been purchased as a Scratch & Dent, full unit history unknown however, found physical component damages, missing screws / fasteners, etc., signs of impact present at various areas. Units drum returned to original position restoring operation without abnormal sound issues but, due to overall condition excessive slack exist between the rear and front bearings promoting higher risk of reoccurring failure. Cost to restore to original working order would far exceed unit value. As such, the customer has opted not to advance with further service at this time.

"Got to this unit to hear from the customer that when putting coffee or sometimes heavier objects on the turntable, the motor would start clicking and not move the food item around the inside. Tried to replicate this with a large cup with water in it, offset the placement of the cup on the turntable Made more noise than Im used to hearing out of a turntable motor, but was not detrimentally noisy. Customer was ready to have this replaced since they had had. It stopped working several times for them. Gave customer estimate and was approved was able to get this motor, swapped out quite quickly and back to testing. Unit appears to be working with little to no noise now. No further issues found at this time. One time during testing before leaving this motor did kind of bounce back-and-forth direction wise. Tested multiple times after that and it still did not do that again. Job complete."

Diagnosed unit and determine the wire connection going from the ice maker to the main control was faulty loose not making contact therefore not powering up the icemaker. Repaired problem by reinstalling the wire connection tightly and securely to the icemaker. It is now receiving power and activating. Job complete.

Got to this unit to hear it on a recording click just before the compressor would come on. This is typically not normal behavior for one of these start run devices. Customer was concerned that it would not continue to last while she was out of town. Was able to give customer estimate and was approved for this part replacement.Once replaced powered the unit back up and the compressor immediately kicked on. Dont have any reason to believe that this would be a continued issue. Unit working as designed. Job complete.

"Unit FC / RC temperatures, airflow, evaporator frost pattern, door seal, etc. all check good at time of service. Following initial RC freezing at the top shelf the customer had adjusted RC temperature to the warmest setting option. RC freezing conditions not occurring at time of service. Issue may or may not have been due to light frost accumulation impeding proper operation of the air diffuser door, intermittent failure not occurring at time of service, etc. All unit test and operations check good time service. Customer instructed to monitor and advise should further service be required.

Found recirculation pump hose wallowed out due to age (21 year old unit) which allowed it to pop off the pump. Ran unit with no water and verified good frost pattern across cold plate. Added a hose clamp to recirc hose and cleaned condenser. Unit is on and producing ice. All operations check OK at this time. Customer will monitor and advise.

"As reported, found when connecting the unit to power the drain pump is immediately energized as if in flood condition. Confirmed the units pressure hose properly and securely seated onto both the electronic control pressure sensor and the outer tub air dome, no visible damage found, no obstructions. Diagnostic testing conducted prior to part installation. F3-E1 (Pressure Sensor Fault) & F5-E1 (Lid Switch Fault) recorded in unit history, cleared prior to testing. Unit unable to initiate calibration cycle, exits diagnostics when attempting. Diagnostic load testing conducted finding the unit lid lock assembly fully functional. All other diagnostic component load tests past without fault and/or water leaks. New electronic control installed. Units drain pump no longer energized when connecting the unit to power. Initial start up procedure now advancing as normal and without fault. "Found refrigerator set to 40? but actual temperature is 32?. Entered test number three in diagnostics and confirm freezer fan running but damper not opening or closing. (staying open). gained access to damper and found harness was half way plugged in. Reseated the damper harness connection and confirmed damper door opening and closing properly. Advised Mr. no charge for today due to not having harness plug properly locked into position when damper was less replaced (being techs fault. ) Advised, if issue reoccurs, we will need to replace the damper assembly once again (the thermistor is part of the damper harness.)"

Came to check for the noises that the customer is hearing but was not able to replicate it. Unit is cooling properly and making its normal operational noises. Advised customer to keep an eye on it. Keep the ticket open for a few more days.
