"Found the units defrost drain has again frozen over allowing defrost water to migrate onto the floor of the FC and into the RC through the air channel. On initial inspection found the defrost heater had not been secured onto the defrost drip pan resulting in reoccurring failure (see pictures attached). Defrost heater extension previously installed ineffective as a result. Additionally, found the unit leaning both forward and to the right directing water away from the defrost drain increasing potential for icing condition found. All ice cleared from the defrost drip pan and drain. More substantial defrost heater extension installed for better heat transfer to the defrost drain and defrost heater secured onto the defrost drip pan as designed. Unit leveled for proper flow and drainage of defrost water. Cabinet sealed to the liner using approved silicone adhesive. All unit test and operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to monitor and advise should further service be required.

Found left rail starting to sag agin. Found screw hole that are pre drilled from factory is wallering out. Causing the brackets to drop. I shimmed rail up and in toward liner with copper wire and pex line under the rail itself to relieve tension so the door would straighten out. Got to this unit to install new dual valve. Once dual valve was installed tested operation found that icemaker was still hanging up and making noises. Replaced icemaker and tested. New valve had significantly less noise coming from it. This was the outcome that was desired. However unit appears to be making correct noises now customer to let us know if unit is working properly after several subsequent cycles for the icemaker. So far we are hearing a lot less noises but customer will know for sure after several harvest cycles. Job complete.

"Got back to the unit and had to separate wash plate from gear case in order to start or accomplish this repair. After finally getting the wash plate off was able to remove gearcase. Once gearcase was removed, was able to replace basket and other necessary parts. Was able to get unit back together. Calibrated the unit then ran automatic test. Then started normal cycle to confirm operation under normal circumstances. Unit working without issue. No further issues found at this time job complete.

"F6-E1 (HMI/ACU Communication Error) recorded in unit history, cleared prior to testing. Unit ran through time dry cycle confirming no heat condition. Confirmed 240VAC properly supplied to the unit. ACU processor status LED flash checks good. All connections secure with no damage to the wire harness found. Confirmed the unit heater element and thermals check good, not open and/or shorted to ground. Units exhaust thermistor checks good 10.52 Khoms @ ambient 75?F. Power restored for second phase of testing. Units heater circuit now fully functional. All unit test and operations check good to include proper cycling of the heater circuit. During service found clear signs a vent restriction which may or may not have been the original cause of failure. "Customer stating that the washer is not spinning again. Tested unit and it seems to be working properly in diagnostics. Found error code for the shift actuator. J2 pins 1&2 and got 2.7k ohms for the shifter. Also checked 120vac between these same pins during shift mode and voltage is present. Checked tachometer for shifter and it is reading proper. Tested J12 pin 3 & 4 and I am getting 5vdc when on a spin mode. Checked continuity of the harness between the actuator and main control and it is good. Performed visual inspection of everything and found no visible issues. Ran unit between spin and agitation to try to duplicate an issue but they are both working properly. Issue is some sort of intermittent issue between the actuator and main control but cannot find a definite fault between either, and both are currently working. Checked voltage at the outlet with the unit running and voltage seems to be scattering between 55-120vac. The only issue I could find was with the outlet. Recommended for customer to contact FPL or electrician. Customer understood.

"Found one of the two retaining screws for the exterior door panel missing allowing the panel to pull away from the door assembly when opening. Units exterior door panel removed finding the remaining screw too short to provide adequate hold through normal continued use. New screws from truck stock installed, exterior door panel reinstalled ensuring a tight and secure fit. Customer to advise.

Got back to this unit and was able to install gasket on the bottom portion of the air tower. With testing found that this did seal the air that was escaping from the freezer. Because this was in between the base of the unit and the damper door. This was allowing cold air to come out into the refrigerator. Section unchecked. After installation found there to be no air moving from beneath the tower when evaporator fan was on. Believe this to fix the issue. Time will tell. Ask the customer to let us know within 24 to 48 hours if this was still a problem.

Got to this unit to find customer has video of the noise and question. Was able to replicate the noise by grabbing a hold of the wash plate and moving very quickly back-and-forth and you could hear a deer type noise coming from the bottom end of the unit. Because of this took the rotor off of the stater as well as the shift. Was able to confirm the noise in the gearcase after these parts were removed being is that there are no other moving parts touching at this time. This would definitely be to blame for the noise. Gearcase main suspect. Advise customer to speak with whirlpool to see if any concession can be made. Otherwise leaving it in the customers hands at this time. Job complete.

"Customer concerned that the refrigerator section is getting too cold at 21 degrees. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, checked error codes on the unit and found no error codes. Ran through diagnostics and all components are working properly. Freezer temperature is at an average of 0 degrees. Found that the damper lever was jammed and stuck in the wide open setting, and the customer had the temperature setting to the coldest setting. Adjusted the damper lever so it is operating properly now. Set the freezer temperature lever to coldest and set the refrigerator setting back to ideal temperature. Informed customer to give 24 hours for the unit to adjust. All ops good at this time. Job complete."
