"Got back to this unit and installed new icemaker. This was specifically due to the fact that the data recorder was showing negative one for a -2? setting in the unit unit. This is more than adequate temperature for this unit to be producing ice. However, since I have been here, this unit has barely made half of a bin of ice. Customer has not been home during this time. Temperatures fluctuate. Retrieve data today as well. Since new icemaker is installed and installed new motor for the dispenser flap this part was causing irregular noises intermittently. If these issues continue, will have to come back and discuss with Techline the next steps to fix this. At this time, we need to let the unit do its job and see what its going to do on its own. "Upon arrival, placed unit into diagnostic mode and found stored fault code F7E5 (faulty shifter). Placed unit into auto test mode and confirmed unresponsive shifter. Got to this unit to hear the icemaker making lots of loud noises as working. Replaced icemaker due to that. Then replace the control board with the unit powered down. Power the unit back up and did testing found that the icemaker is rolling around and accepted water. Unit should be back to normal operation within 24 to 48 hours. Job complete.

Consistent with Whirlpool service pointer W11695259 Rev A vibrate during spin. I follow the instructions and bent the locking tabs at the bottom of the rear panel as outlined in the service pointer. I tested all functions and at that point the unit now checks OK. Job complete.

"Replaced gearcase hub motor actuator and cam . Ran calibration job complete

Found operational failure reported not due to unit component failure but a result of a power supply failure. Found power supplied through separated circuit breakers within the homes circuit panel. Found one of the two circuit breakers tripped resulting in a loss of 120VAC supply to the L1 connection. Both circuit breakers reset properly restoring 240VAC to the unit. All initial unit test and operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to continue normal use of the unit and advise should further service be required.

"Found standing water within the units tub. Found and cleared light debris from within the units drain pump housing which may have been hindering proper drain pump function. Additionally, found the units drain hose laying flat within the adjacent sink base allowing discharge water to backflow into the dishwasher. Units drain hose repositioned and secured for a high loop drain preventing backflow. All unit tests and operations to include proper drainage check good upon completion of service. Customer to continue normal use of the unit and advise should further service be required.

"Got to this unit to hear from the customer that there is a banging noise, kind of like a clicking on and off coming from the rear of the unit. With this customers description unplugged the unit and left for several minutes to see if it had any bearing on the start run device having an issue running correctly or not. After unplugging the unit and starting the unit back up again several times did not hear any of these noises that were explained. Was unable to reproduce these noises. Could see no obstructions in the freezer section or refrigerator section. With opening and closing doors was able to tell that the air is able to flow from refrigerator to freezer without issue. got behind the unit to ensure that there was nothing hitting the evaporator fan or clogging the drain. Found there to be water in the condensation tray. It was not much. Found the condenser fan to be working correctly and nothing out of place to be seen in the rear of the unit. Put about a cups worth of water into the drip tray to ensure that the heat loop was covered, no further suggestions at this time. Unable to replicate issues either."

Replaced left front burner switch. Checked operation ok job complete

Got back to this unit and installed new heater cover for the dispenser of the ice to the bin. Was able to verify that the unit was full of ice not having any problems any further. Job complete.

Got back and replaced parts that were ordered. Replaced all parts needed as well after installation tested the unit to find all parts now working properly no further issues found at this time. Job complete.

"Got back to this unit and pulled the shoot out under the ice bin. Saw lots of frost in this area and under the ice bin. When the shoot was removed, found that the bottom most gasket had a quarter inch gap or more between where it was supposed to meet. This is well as not having any gasket underneath the shoot to prevent this air from making it in was causing all of this frost and ice underneath all of these parts. Was able to replace and use gasket necessary places to seal this part off from the freezer door area. Once this was done, believe this to be sealed off much better and decrease the amount of frost and ice built up underneath this ice bin. Customer to let us know how this affects or fixes units issues. Job complete"

Upon arrival, removed deli drawer and found loose screw for the temperature control mechanism, allowing cold air to leak into the deli drawer. Tightened screw and verified air leak stopped. Entered diagnostics and ran test 3 for the evaporator fan and air baffle. Air baffle and fan are working properly. Also transferred defrost setting from adaptive defrost to traditional. Informed customer to give unit 1-2 days to adjust. All ops good at this time. Job complete.

Got to this unit to find that the suspension was extremely bouncy. Also found that the lid was completely separating from glass to the lid assembly. Not too much longer in this piece of glass will become separate from the lid. Customer declined to want to move forward with repairs. Job complete at this time.

"Unit operating in ice production cycle on arrival. Ice cubes within the ice bin mostly full sized however somewhat cloudy and covering the base of the bin in a single layer only. Initial inspection has found the unit had been pushed back into the cabinet allowing the units door panel to contact the adjacent cabinet. Units door would appear closed however, remain open at least one inch resulting in warm air infiltration causing ice produced to melt more rapidly. Unit repositioned and left operating in cycle. Confirmed water reservoir full with good spray pattern. Condenser fan motor operating at speed with good airflow. No signs of a seeping inlet water valve. Drain system clear of obstruction and draining properly with good pressure. Less than 30min of arrival the unit initiated harvest cycle releasing all ice cubes from the evaporator mold. Ice cubes produced confirmed to be full sized with perfect clarity. With the units door now properly sealing the customer will monitor ice production over the weekend. Customer will advise should slow ice production issue persist."

Found multiple buttons on user interface are non-functional. Smart Wash button does work so was able to test unit using that cycle and all other components check OK. Cleaned ribbon cable with no change. Advised Mr that user interface (8558287) is no longer available. Mr will use smart wash until he replaces dishwasher. Unit is non-repairable since parts are discontinued.

"Tapped into system and found unit running at 20 in a vacuum. Installed evaporator and die dryer and recharge system. Compressor not needed.

"Replaced Evaporator cover which includes new wiring, fan motor and defrost thermistor. Also replaced pantry thermistor/harness. Unit had a partial defrost issue which was caused by fan not running and thermistor out of range. Crimped thermistor to evap and wrapped in permagum per TL recommendation. Tested defrost heater and it kicked right on and heats properly. New fan is running and all operations test OK at this time. Mrs will give 24 hours to get down to temp and will advise."

Unit is infested with cockroaches. Advised Mrs would need to have professional extermination done since main control has already been replaced twice for same problem. Customer does not want to have extermination done and prefers to purchase a new range.

Found no power to unit. Circuit breaker was tripped after yesterdays storm. Reset breaker and everything came on and unit is cooling. All checks OK at this time.

Replaced upper manifold. Tested unit and found a bad wash motor/diverter. No spray action out of any spray arms. Pulled part out and customer to replace.

"Per the customer the unit had been operating without fault and/or noise issues for about a week following prior service. Customer reports noise issue now occurring during agitation cycles only however, the unit is otherwise fully functional. Physical inspection conducted finding no visible component damage. Lower assembly, tub assembly, agitator, etc. all secure. Unit ran through operational testing. Noise issue is slight and lasts only a second or less but appears to be originating between the main cam pulley and the gearcase transmission. Due to the unit age and condition cost of repair would exceed unit value. As such the customer has opted not to advance with further repair service at this time. Customer to advise."

Unit has a sealed system issue. No warranty left on the unit. Cost is more than a new unit of thisntype.

"Came to reinspect unit and determine water is not getting into the icemaker. The line was not frozen so when I checked for error codes the icemaker checks out good I ran a test. I forced it to start and it cycled all the way and water. Im thinking the problem is, the valve is faulty so on his own is not sending water to the icemaker. The valve was replaced less than a year ago so we will not charge customer for the part and also for labor since I charged her labor last week and is still not working.shell keep an eye on it.
