"Sr#7738873347 got to the unit to find the same issue that we have been having since my first trip out here which is the damper door, not opening all the time. This damper door is having issues enough to where the customer has found that in the process of this issue happening and losing food if she were to give a light knock to the inside of the refrigerator cavity that the damper door would open this has been consistent through several parts exchanged as well as the main computer, because of these issues, call Techline to get this reported discuss with Techline all of the testing issues that we have seen with this unit. Unit is not in the refrigerator section. Techline has deemed this unit non-repairable. Customer to call into new leaf once this bill is submitted to work out the details with that company. Whirlpool has deemed unit repairable no further parts to be changed."

"Customer concerned that the unit is producing a chemical taste in the water and ice, as well as a chemical smell from the ice. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, temperature in both compartments are good so this cannot be due to a refrigerant leak. Inspected water line to the refrigerator and it is an old pex water line. Whirlpool has determined that this particular line will deteriorate and cause a chemical taste/smell within the water and ice. Quoted customer for a new water line with labor, no service charge. Customer approved repair cost. Installed new water line and tested, all ops good. Advised customer to flush about 5 gallons through the system, and give a couple weeks for the smell to dissipate. Customer understood. Called safety team to update, all good to go.

So i moved the lines and left fridge leveled at the moment and could not get unit to make noise again... Got to the back of the unit and determine the cooper tubing are all black contaminated with Sulfur therefore eating up the tubing and causing the unit to leak Freon. Got to this unit after talking with the customer installed the interlock door switches and new control. After installation checked operation. Found that the unit on a 30 second time interval performed properly with no odd sounds. Then performed the two minute and 30 seconds heat for making tea that the customer regularly does where she heard it before. After running for that long Water was hot but unit never made a peep. Tested again for an additional 30 seconds twice to ensure function. Never once had any problems or hiccups. Job complete.
