Found ice chute seal was twisted allowing ice room air to migrate into the refrigerator and freeze food items. Realigned the seal and confirmed no more air leaks. Tested and found that the moisture sensor appeared to be reactive after the five minutes like normal. However, after doing my normal testing and pitching, the dryer forward to activate the moisture sensors more effectively. The unit still wasnt responding correctly. Had to pull the front of this unit apart to dig a little deeper and found that the moisture sensor on one terminal was not hooked up. was able to put this back in place get the unit back together and test again at this time, the testing is now showing the unit to be working correctly and moving through the timer as it should. Unit was not shutting down the way it was previously and is now working in normal fashion. Collected for service call today only with tax. Job complete.

"Got to this unit to hear from the customer that maybe one batch of ice had dropped and nothing further from there. Tested and found that the icemaker initially trying to harvest was giving a full bin detection. Opened up the unit to discover that there was a chunk of ice that was floating around in and around the maker, causing this unit to not detect the empty bin that was there and just stopped. Its ice production due to this inhibiting the arm from moving. Opened up the unit to investigate further and found that the tray of the icemaker had been bent several times over and was having issues keeping water in it. Was able to exchange out the icemaker and test. Found that this icemaker was indeed now receiving correct amount of water And should be set for success at this time. The thermostat checks out good and icemaker was able to move through the motions. Unit set for success.

"On arrival found the customer already had someone disconnect the dryer from the homes water supply connection. Per customers description of failure sounds that of a stuck and/or seeping inlet water valve for the steam function. Customer is selling the home and has opted to delete the steam function rather than advance with repair. Water supply hose uninstalled and units inlet water valve disconnected from the wire harness to prevent energizing of the valve which with no water supplied could result in overheating posing a potential hazard. Excessive noise and vibration exists through cycle operation however, customer is not interested in investing in further service at this time. Customer to advise.

"Checked dryer for heating issue. Once again found no mechanical failure on unit. Heat cycling properly, issue is in vent still. Advised customer last time to have builder address vent issue. Builder sent contractor to fix venting issue but did not go look at termination point as mentioned and also work to address venting issue in home did not do make a good connection and fell apart. Vent wasnt connected properly to dryer or vent in home, contractor added an elbow that is not attaching to pipe. Added an elbow and didnt tighten clamps for vent. Both elbows were loose to transition ducting, no clamps tightened. Advised customer service fee is due, due to no mechanical failure on dryer again, collected service fee at time of appointment. Advised customer to have builder address venting issue in home again including making good connection in home and verifying screen removal at termination point on roof."

"On arrival the customer reported the unit had resumed normal operation, cooling and ice production at least a day prior to scheduled service. Per customer request, full inspection and diagnostic testing conducted finding and/or reporting no component failures, damages, etc. with exception to a small ice mass potentially hindering proper engagement of the FC door switch which may or may not have been a contributing factor to reported issues. Remaining ice cleared. Customer instructed to monitor and advise should further service be required.

"Customers reported fault condition researched through the B/S/H Service Portal. Matching condition: B/S/H Bulletin No. 58300000239935, Released 08/07/2025. This units Model & Serial Range fall within the listed affected units. Contacted Chris with PCS Digital Services (Techline Option 3, 949-724-3746, info.us@home-connect.com). Over-the-air soft- ware update requested. Chris with PCS Digital Services later advised per engineering the required update had been downloaded at time of unit installation. On arrival the customer advised since installation only five pictures have been received between the two connected devices. All pictures received were taken during attempts to restore picture feature functionality. With exception to the picture feature, connection and function between the Home Connect app and the unit synchronize without issue. No conflicting settings found between the Home Connect app and the unit settings. Jos? with B/S/H T/L advised on unit history and actions taken in attempt to correct. Per T/L, thousands of pictures had been taken and recorded through the B/S/H system from the time of installation through to 09/25/2025, no pictures there after have been received. With aid of T/L, Factory Reset conducted, no change. Software, settings and connection confirmed correct. Unit removed from and reconnected to the Home Connect app, no change. T/L identified the most likely cause of failure due to a faulty SMM (System Master Module) and instructed to have the customer contact PCS Digital Services. After disconnecting with T/L conducted a calibration reboot sequence as a final attempt to correct. Upon completion of calibration found camera function fully restored, picture attached for reference. All unit tests and operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to monitor unit operations, continue use of the Home Connect app and advise should further service be required."

CASE# 20983084 - On arrival confirmed customer complaint of no-cool. RC and FC both running mid-40F. Compressor and fans all operational. Static pressure reads 12PSI after 10-15 minutes of equalization. Suction pressure running in an 18in vacuum. Pulled FF evaporator cover and found UV dye seeping from heat exchanger insulation where it comes out of the liner and confirmed leak in heat exchanger with dry nitrogen at 200PSI with soap bubbles. Provided photos to Whirlpool Techline. Unit has been placed under review for non-repairable leak due to heat exchanger being non-replaceable on this unit. Customer will be contacted within 72 business hours.

"Upon arrival, uninstalled oven from the wall. Accessed terminal block and checked power. Got 120/120/240vac. Accessed high limit thermostat and it is testing good for continuity. Checked elements and both are 20-30 ohms resistance. Checked power to the elements during a cycle and got no power. Unit has failed main control. Customer approved repair cost. Installed new control, tested unit, all ops good. Job complete.

"Upon arrival, found drain pan full of water and ice remove P-trap and found P-trap clogged cleared the P-trap of the clog and then defrosted drain confirmed water is draining properly at this time. Advised customer to call us if she has any further issues also readjusted the back wall as it was not installed correctly

"Found the RC defrost drain obstructed by debris. Biofilm present however, does not appear primary cause of blockage. Obstruction cleared and area treated with a mild bleach and water solution to eliminate existing biofilm. Customer has opted not to advance with installation of the updater Drain Tube Insert Kit (PN: 7041728) and/or Condensation Reduction Kit (PN: 7040489). Should defrost drain failure persist, both listed kits would be recommended for installation to prevent continuing issue. All unit operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to monitor and advise should further service be required.

Case number 20980203 got back to this unit to hear from the customer that there was a tapping or ticking type noise coming from the rear of the unit. Was able to hear this while in the home. This is definitely a version of Freon moving through the system. Customer also describes a very loud bang coming from this unit occasionally and in no way shape or form regular. Quite loud to hear this bang from what has been described. Because of all this went ahead and called into tech line to get these things reported. Tech lines advice for the tapping or clicking noises was to readjust the dryer to a different angle to keep the Freon from moving quite so fast through the system. when getting behind the unit and removing the rear panel found and discovered that the union of the connection going to the switching valve was slightly a jar was able to click this connector back together completely. This indeed could be part of our problem or the problem altogether. Went ahead and adjusted the dryer as well as recommended by tech line. got the unit back together and had done a power reset as well when behind this unit. Readjusted the level of this unit after putting it back into place and discuss with the customers all the things that had been done and what we were looking for here today. All of this was documented with whirlpool with their new case number.Job complete.

Go back to this unit and was able to install new control board. After installation of control board ran diagnostics and calibration. Found the unit to now be working correctly no further issues found at this time. Job complete.

"Case number 19999048 got to this unit and found there to be a thermal event had happened inside the unit. This unit was put into service cooking a container of green beans. This container had green beans and water in it. Approximately a quart size container and this unit somehow was able to heat the plastic enough to melt it and burn. There was some soup on the inside that the customer had removed, but during testing could find no issues with the unit sparking or having any odd behavior of the sort. Tested the unit with a Pyrex glass cup with water in it for over a minute and a half and had no issues found at all. Called in to report all this to safety team. After doing so could not find any specific reason why this wouldve happened therefore the unit is back in service as far as known at this time."

Found customers lid is seperated at the hinge and broke the plastic to the point where the lid would not close properly and lock the lid... I was able to install new lid and confirmed lid is not how it should be and the customer is happy

Upon arrival unit would not power on.. Checked and confirmed proper power and removed lid to see indicator light to main control.. Uplugged unit and plugged back in and Ui started to work... Started dryer for about a min and it shut down from sense mode with nothing in it and when i opened the door it was very very hot.. I than used my vent test kit and confirmed vents are clogged as i unhooked the line and as much lint as a pillow flew out pipe.... I called techline and no fault codes and unit working like it should we are determining the mositure build up is reaching the user interface and damaging the boards ... Customer will have his vents cleaned and call us within 30 days if issue returns
