"Tested unit, had heater error, but heater came on during test, possible that heat turned off with pump failure. Diagnostic test should have turned it back on.

"On arrival found standing water under and around the stacked unit with two heavily water saturated towels at the front left to help mitigate further migration of water. Units pulled from location and all water mopped from the area prior to full inspection. Found fur accumulation between the door bellow and door glass preventing optimal seal allowing for water leak through operation however, is not believed to be the primary source of water leak found. No physical damage i.e. rips, tears, warping, etc. of the door bellow found. With the rear panel removed further inspection conducted finding the majority of water accumulation within the cabinet interior at the front left corner beneath the dispenser assembly. All water bellow connections, water hoses, etc. check good with no presence of water. Units dispenser drawer removed finding circular cardboard seal from a plastic bottle cap had become lodged in the dispenser housing drain port to the tub assembly which would restrict water flow during water fill cycles and could result in flood condition as originally found, obstruction removed however, also later found to not be the primary cause of water leak. Unit ran through both diagnostic testing and multiple water fill cycles in all temperature settings without fault and initially without water leaks. After multiple water fill cycles water leak was confirmed to be originating from the dispenser housing assembly. Unable to conduct full inspection due to the units stacked configuration. Additional component failures may exist. No less than a new dispenser housing assembly and outer bellow retaining spring will be needed. Due to the units age, condition due to heavy use and expected cost to repair the customer has opted not to advance with further service at this time. Customer to advise.

Installed parts and unit chekced ok

Found faulty front right burner and left front infinite switch. I removed and replaced both parts with new parts. All functions now check OK. Job complete.

"Customer concerned that the unit will run for 5-20 minutes, then shut down. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, checked venting and venting is short in distance and not restricted. Checked power at the terminal block and the outlet and power is slightly high at 135/135/270vac. Contacted whirlpool tech line to check with them regarding this power discrepancy. Tech line stating that this power is too high, and will cause the drive motor is over draw amperage and can shut it off. Informed customer to contact the power company regarding this voltage issue.

"Perform short test and found motor not running only hums. Found extremely loose mounting screw for capacitor, causing damage to capacitor terminals. Installed new capacitor and perform shortest. Confirmed motor working properly now. Job complete.

Reset controls and confirmed heater working properly. Advise message to call us back if she has any problems if Mrs. calls back we will replace control.

Inspected unit and determine the defrost ptrap was clogged and frozen. Flushed and melted ice. It is now draining properly to the drain pan. Job complete.

"On arrival found the unit operating at set temperature without fault and/or abnormal noise issues. Customer had presented a video taken of the reported noise issue sounding that of random tapping which may or may not have been originating from the units HV control. During inspection random tapping could be heard at and around the surrounding cabinetry along the kitchen wall likely due to expansion, contractions and/or settling. UL Warning flag on the units power cord also could create similar noise issue by tapping against the cabinet exterior and/or drywall with aid of airflow from the condenser fan motor, removed to illuminate possible origin of sound issue. Unable to duplicate abnormal noise issue at time of service. Customer instructed to monitor and advise should further service be required."

Found cabinet swelling causing dw door to hit cab. Dropped the feet back down and door now closes. All ops ok.

Got to this unit and heard from the customer that the unit was making some odd noises. Testing determined that the agitator was making some noise. Further testing found there to be some debris between the agitator and the basket. This was removed and then tested again. No further issues found after this.tested again and found no strange noises from the unit. Job complete.

"As instructed on initial service the customer had removed the unit from power for +48hrs allowing for total defrost before restoring power. However, customer had failed to again remove the unit from power for 24hrs after warmer temperature conditions returned, again allowing for development and frost accumulation throughout the evaporator. All frost accumulation manually thawed. Confirmed primary defrost failure due to a physically broken defrost heater element. By customer request, in addition to the new defrost heater element, both a new defrost bi-metal terminator and defrost timer also installed to better help prevent future no cool conditions relating to defrost failure. All initial unit test and operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to monitor and advise should further service be required.

"Upon arrival, found evaporator totally iced up. Found defrost thermometer, reading 43.9k . Checked the resistance reading right at control board and got same results. Placed unit into forced defrost and confirmed heater properly working pulling .99 A. Made contact with tech-support and reported findings. Was advised will place unit into product review.

"Upon arrival, found temporary relay working excellent allowing proper temperatures in both refrigerator and freezer. Installed new relay. Job complete."

Installed new compressor and recharge with 53 g of refrigerant advise Mrs. to monitor unit for 24 hours and call us back if unit has any issues ;

"Entered unit into diagnostic mode and found one stored fault code for off-balance detected. Performed auto test and confirmed all ops functioning properly. Customer states they have no issue with water levels, but having to press the start button twice for unit to begin cycle. Advised, per whirlpool service bulletin W11648603, There has been a two-step start behavior change for this model. Unit working as designed.

Found broke strike removed and replaced part all ops test ok

Found loose wire at control board. Seated wire firmly and all other connections. Job complete.

"Customer concerned that the unit is condensating inside the refrigerator section. Upon arrival, inspected both door seals and both seals are sealing properly. Checked freezer temperature and got 6 degrees and evaporator fan is running. No defrosting issue as well. Inspected condensation within the refrigerator and it is very light condensation underneath the shelves, more like a light fog. Explained to customer that this level of condensation is completely normal and will not cause any issues. Explained to her that ambient temperature can affect this as well, as it is high 70s to low 80s inside the home. This is most definitely causing a bit more condensation than normal, especially it being more humid than normal in Florida. Customer understood this. All ops good at this time. Job complete."

Inspected unit and determine it has a seal system Freon leak therefore the Freon has disappeared. Hen it leaks Freon the system gets contaminated with water and will need to replaced the whole copper system with compressor . It would not be costed effective. Customer decided she will purchase new unit. Job complete.

Lights now and than will not come but the user interface knows the door is shut... Customer was concerned it was a bigger issue which i told him no and he is ok with it and will no longer need service

Replaced gasket as it was not a good seal and replaced valve as it was releasing to much water and leaving a over flow under the bucket and leaving the ice stuck together... did not replace door ice because the moisture is from the humidity in the house as they leave the porch sliding door open and house is warm

Installed new suspension rods. Tested operation of the spin cycle and unit and it is now working properly. Job complete.

"Got to this unit and found the suspension to be extremely bouncy. When giving estimate for the customer for this issue also found that the hose from behind the washer and dryer for the vent of the dryer was damaged and leaking. Customer asked if we had the vent tubing to fix this, indeed we did. Customer approved for the repair and these items were fixed. Ran unit through calibration automatic test and normal cycle to ensure function and to also explain a few items to the customer. Unit is back working correctly no further issues found at this time.

"Customer concerned that the unit is not washing properly. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, checked error codes and found error code F0E3. Ran through diagnostics cycle and monitored. Unit will fill and drain properly, but is having an issue agitating and spinning. Heard slight abnormal noise coming from motor area. Accessed motor and found loose motor bolt. Tightened motor bolt and ran through calibration and test cycle again, all ops good. Job complete.

"Customer concerned that the refrigerator is not cooling properly. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, found freezer evaporator slightly too frosted, indicating defrost issue. Also found evaporator panel not installed on the top portion, which is causing the fan not to blow cold air into the refrigerator as well. Tested defrost thermistor and found thermistor slightly out of specifications. Installed new defrost thermistor and re-installed evaporator panel correctly. All ops good. Job complete.

Installled new lid lock and control and new console and tested unit to work as it should but adivised customer to use some affresh as the unit smelt very bad.

"On arrival the customer had presented a video taken recording reported intermittent noise issue. From the video noise could be confirmed due to vibration and/or contact between the metal paneling surrounding the area of the drive motor and blower housing assemblies. All cabinet screws, panel screws, pedestal securing bolts, etc. Loosened allowing the unit to settle to obtain a more secure foundation. Whirlpool composite shim installed between the pedestal top panel and the units base panel directly beneath the motor mount to prevent contact and or transfer a vibration minimizing potential for noise issues. All screws secured in position. All unit tests and operations to include sounds check good upon completion of service. Customer to continue normal use of the unit and advise should further service be required.

"This unit has now been in operation for 20yrs. Reoccurring failure likely due to saturation of the units cabinet insulation surrounding the defrost drain. Units cabinet foam insulation is non-serviceable. Unable to manually thaw at time of service due to tool failure. No service conducted, service charge waived. Customer will remove the unit for 24-36hrs, monitor and advise should further service be required. Service charge to be applied should return service be requested."

Dropped off touch up paint for unit. All checks OK.

Unit needs new fresh food ceiling liner LED module. Customer declined repair. I called Whirlpool trade care team to see if I could get a one time authorization but could not. Your team told me that it was past a 90 day out of warranty. Customer will call back if they wish to pursue the repair.

"Got to this unit and found the fill tube to be frozen yet again. As previously described, this unit will not be fixed unless we replace this door. The heater inside the door for the fill tube has failed. This is not a serviceable item. Unless this customer orders a door, this is the end of the rope as far as repair goes. customer is not wanting to order a door at this time since it is approximately half the cost of the unit. Cleared out the ice from the fill tub so the unit could provide water and make ice yet again."

I installed the new bake and broil elements. I tested all functions and the unit now checks OK. Job complete.

Got to this unit and replaced faulty parts with new parts that were ordered. After these parts were installed and replaced. Tested the operation of the unit and found that the new icemaker is now receiving proper water and should be producing ice as soon as this water freezes. Check temperatures to ensure proper set points. Indeed they were set correctly. No further issues found at this time. Job complete.
