Installed new gasket but needed heat gun to reform the gasket the best i could to make flush with door and seal

Found shorted diode causing no heat. Replaced capacitor and diode and unit is now heating properly.

Unit on the left was at correct temps. The unit on the right was at 49 deg set at 37. The condenser was compleatly clogged. I cleared the condensor and grill and blew the condensor out with nitrogen. Unit temps started coming down.

Found ice maker plug partially disconnected. Reseated connection and tested IM. All checks ok

"Got to this unit and was able to get the washer, pulled out and determine which one of these two computers was necessary. Once this was determined by literally just looking at the connections alone determined that this computer was the one needed. Was able to install new computer and then test. Unit appears to be running through cycles without issue and was able to complete rinse and spin without any problems whatsoever. Job complete"

Got back to this unit and installed new vent and console. After installing these parts plug the unit back in and tested. Found that the unit is now working correctly. All buttons are responding. No further issues found at this time. Job complete.

Diagnosed unit and determine the compressor is faulty. It will not kick on. Will need part replaced. Gave customer a rough estimate but he decline repair. He prefers to purchase new unit.

"Unit was worked on by an unknown individual at some point in time and today I found that the thermal fuse was bypassed and the heater relay on the main control was burned up and ash/smoke residue all inside the unit. See attached photos. Due to the compromised control, wiring, etc. Mrs has decided to replace the dryer. Most likely the extent of repairs would exceed the cost of a new unit.

"Found a sock had been pulled into the blower housing resulting in operational and noise issues reported by the customer. Obstruction cleared to correct. Confirmed no physical damage to the blower wheel, drive motor, drive belt, etc. All unit tests and operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to continue normal use, monitor and advise should further service be required.

Found drive belt saturated in oil and slipping on main drive pulley during spin cycle which was causing insufficient water extraction. I have spoken with GE on this issue multiple times and what I have been advised is that the transmissions will slowly excrete oil over the years and saturate the belt. Most of the time this is NOT a faulty transmission. Cleaned both pulleys and replaced the belt from truck stock and verified proper spinning at this time. Suspension checks OK. Mrs will monitor and advise.

"Go back to this unit with the parts that were ordered. Was able to remove and replace parts that were ordered from old to new. Once this was complete, tested the unit to confirm operation. Unit appeared to run through all calibration and automatic testing cycles without problems. Ran a normal cycle as well to confirm operation further. no further issues found at this time. "Found moderate to heavy frost accumulation at both the FC & RC evaporators / evaporator covers restricting airflow resulting in warmer operating temperatures reported. Diagnostic testing conducted by use of the GE SmartHQ. Multiple faults reported relating to prolonged open door conditions and warmer thermistor readings, all faults cleared prior to advancement of testing. Customer states, food product packaging had been found behind the FC lower drawer preventing the door from fully closing allowing for loss of cooling and warm air infiltration believed to have been the original cause of failure. Obstruction had been removed prior to service however, buildup of frost accumulation had prevented the unit from recovering to normal operating temperatures. Evaporator fan motor tests, defrost circuits, door seal etc. all pass testing. Firmware update conducted uploading current revision. Customer will be disconnecting the unit from power at the home circuit panel for no less than 36-48hrs (with doors open) allowing for full defrost. Customer will then restore power to the unit, monitor operations, temperatures, ice production, etc. and advise should further service be required.

All ops and temps test ok called tech line sr#7739770913. Tech line advised this is normal ops advised customer to only touch the knobs and handles. If touching pass the handle on oven it can be almost as hot as the oven and can burn if touch the wrong spots.

Was unable to re-create this issue here today. Ran multiple cycles on heat to try to make discovery. Unit was acting normally throughout all testing. So no signs of condensation or moisture in or around this unit at all. Because of issues decided to call into Techline and safety team. The numbers listed at the beginning of this report are as follows. The top number is for tech line. The second number is for safety team. Called and reported this unit to both of these entities to make sure that this was recorded, and that if continued issues occur that we can take care of the problem as soon as possible.I am being told through Techline today that no further parts are to be ordered at this time unless the customer can record this issue happening so that we can get a better idea for what it is that needs to be fixed. "On arrival found the units ice bin filled to max capacity with proper sized ice nuggets. New UI controls installed restoring full interior illumination, UI display & UI function. Customer to monitor and advise should further service be required.

"Got to this unit and did some testing on my own to find out if indeed what parts were needed. Found that the unit had delivered some ice, but had not been able to complete the bin. Found that in harvest cycle the icemaker was making some noises. Replace this icemaker and also as taking the icemaker apart found the fill tube to be frozen and replaced the heater as well. Installed these new parts back into the machine and continue testing. Found this unit to be working correctly. Performed a power cycle on the unit and all parts are now working correctly. Had to also adjust the level of this unit since the doors and the deli shelf were sliding out on their own. This was corrected by adjusting the level of the unit. Unit is working correctly. Job complete.

"Go to this unit and found error code number 24. Investigation found that error code 24 was for faulty inlet temperature sensor. Through all testing found and determined that this unit is able to spin drain wash tumble all the things that it needs to do. But the customers complaint is the unit unit is not spinning out correctly And leaving clothes wet. After running a couple different quick cycles to try to test with laundry was able to determine that it has to be a computer issue issue not spinning up correctly. If this intermittent issue continues, we would be under suspicion for the motor control unit as well as the Electronic brain in the top side. Gave customer estimate for both of these parts. Explain to the customer that if this continues to happen and those parts were not warranted to be cost-effective that it would entail a new machine. Customer let us know how they want to proceed.

"Just prior to arrival the customer had conducted testing by use of their own combustible gas leak detector finding no positive hits. Unit ran through testing (preignition) finding only minuscule off-gas detection at or less than 2% as expected following use. Initial inspection has found both the burner heads and burner caps of all cooktop burner assemblies offset resulting in improper flame envelope and consumption of fuel resulting in more noticeable odor off-gas during use. Found minimal warping of at least three of the cooktop burner heads primarily CF, CR, & LR however, all are fully functional through all settings low through high. Replacement part installation not needed at this time.

Installed new inlet valve. Perform short test and confirmed unit getting proper amount of water and properly circulating water. Job complete.

"Got to this unit and started testing. There was no ice in the ice bin. Was able to deliver water out the front of the unit. Further testing found that the icemaker would not respond initially. Then discovered that the icemaker had been turned off somehow. Because of this, turn icemaker back on and continue testing. Pushed the button to operate harvest cycle. Once the harvest cycle was applied, found the unit was able to roll around and then deliver water as it was supposed to. Not sure if this had been turned off previous testing or not, but we do need to do a week and see situation to ensure function of this maker

Go to this unit and had customer relay that there were some water on the floor in front of this unit. Customer was concerned that the valve or something underneath the unit was leaking. Hold the unit out and determine that it was not able to install the unit and test functions found no water leaks at this time.

Installed needed diffuser and confirmed unit has been working fine sense

Found this time after testing from the suspensions being worn and the cam shield sitting on the floor the drain line came a little loose at the pump leaking just enough to see so retightend clamp and shoved hose on for a better fit and confirmed unit now not leaking SSN
