"Today when I arrived, customer stated that after previous tech repair the unit leaked from the left-hand side by the door. I removed the kickplate and laid on the floor and ran the unit for about 30 minutes and not a single drop of water leaked. I showed this to the customer the entire time. I explained to her that it may have leaked due to the position of a plate or a bowl on the lower dish rack cause water to deflect and leak. There was not a single leak. I explained to her that a leak cannot fix itself and if it leaks again to open the door to see the position of any plates or bowls closer towards the door that may be causing this and to rearrange them inside as most likely that will resolve the issue. She stated that if it leaks again. She will call us back, I reminded her once again to open the door and check the orientation of items placed on the lower dish rack as that is most likely the cause of the problem as a leak cannot fix itself. No problem found here today. Job complete."

"On arrival found RC at 37F and FC at 14F. Unit started cooling back down this morning after customer reset power for 5 minutes. Put through service test mode and performed a cooling test on both compartments which passed. Compressor, All fans, thermistors, etc. pass all tests and no fault codes were stored or active. During FC cooling test Evap thermistor dropped down to -2F. Since there are no apparent failures and resetting power resolved the problem, I believe the issue to be within the software/electronics of the unit. Gave estimate for main control board with flashed software update installed. Customer is going to hold off for now and will call back and advise if they would like control ordered.

Removed and inspected pressure hose and did not find any abrasions or holes. Confirmed continuity between all three wires on harness between ECU and pressure switch. "Customer concerned that all the cooktop burners are heating up then will shut off. Upon arrival, tested ALL 4 burners at max temperature and monitored. All of the burners got orange hot and then shut off at a certain point. Once they shut off for a couple minutes, they turned back on at a low orange temperature. Checked quick pics for burners working. Customer stating that the temperatures are too low. Informed customer that as of 2019 there is a new regulation called UL858 (60A) that regulated all the burners on this type of cooktop. This is exactly the issue the customer is experiencing but I informed her that due to this regulation, it is normal to experience this. Informed customer that no matter what parts I change on this unit, it will not change, because this is legally how the unit has to be designed. Customer not happy with product, but I told customer multiple times that the unit is working properly and this is due to regulation UL858 for all exposed burner electric stoves. Found zero issue with the unit at this time. Job complete."

This ice maker is located in the freezer and does not have a fill tube heater. Removed back panel and removed water line from the valve and found no issues with water dripping into ice maker from the valve. Suspect that I just did not defrost out the fill tube all the way last visit. Defrosted fill tube again and force cycled the ice maker and verified that the ice maker filled with water. "Confirmed both the bake and broil elements of the upper oven viable, not open or shorted to ground. Unit ran through Hi Broil and Bake cycle set to 350?F initially without fault, both broil and bake elements energized and heating. However, after est. 5min the units heating stalled at 212?F, no further relay trips heard from the units electronic control board. Unit left in fault condition for several minutes without change. Units lower oven ran through testing without fault. Second course of testing conducted on the units upper oven. Through second phase of testing the upper oven achieved preheat of 350?F without fault. Found operational failure due to an intermittent fault of the units electronic control board. Due to the units age of 22yrs of service multiple unit components to include the electronic control board need for repair have been discontinued by the manufacturer and are NLA. Unable to conduct repair service due to part status. Customer advised.

"F9-E1 (Draining: Product Not Draining) recorded in unit history, cleared prior to testing. Standing water within the tank, unable to drain. Confirmed 120VAC supplied to the drain pump motor with no motor function. All water cleared for inspection. Found drain failure due to a broken chopper of the drain pump assembly preventing rotation and function of the drain pump impeller. This issue has been noted in Whirlpool Technical Service Pointer #: W11482561B. Confirmed this units serial number falls within the listed range. Additionally this unit holds a 10yr Part Only Warranty covering the chopper. All pieces of the original chopper removed, pictures taken and attached to the file for part warranty processing. This units chopper is not available as a individual part. Available with the drain pump assembly only. New drain pump assembly installed to correct. Unit ran through complete diagnostic auto test without fault and/or water leaks. All unit operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to advise.

"Found the unit capable of registering selected cycle(s), door latch assembly functional, drain pump energized on initiation of cycle. However, found no motor rotation through more than 10min of the Drain & Spin cycle selected. Found only low voltage, essentially phantom voltage supplied from the control electronic to the drive motor through cycle. Confirmed all connections secure with no damage to the wire harness found. Unit removed from and restored to power for control reset. Following reset all unit operations have resumed without fault and/or water leaks. Unit ran in both Drain & Spin and Rinse, Drain & Spin cycles through to high speed spin without fault. All unit operations check good upon completion of service. Customer to advise.
