"Customer concerned that the unit is over cooling in the refrigerator section. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, inspected the unit and found that all 3 of the door seals are damaged. Each one has tears in them and are very stiff. The freezer door seal is in the worst shape. Due to this damage, the unit will try to overcompensate for the air leak and will freeze items in the refrigerator section, and create frost in the freezer. These seals are beyond repair and will need to be replaced. Also found ice chute gasket is missing, so we will need that gasket as well. Quoted customer total to replace all parts. Called customer since she is not at the home and she is declining repair at this time.

"Customer concerned that the unit is having trouble getting through the spin cycle. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, checked error codes with the ge tool and found no codes. However, upon checking cycle history, found unit not completing the spin cycle. Noticed customer is not using deep fill. After inspecting and testing multiple components, found no oil underneath the unit, instructed customer to try the deep fill function and see if that helps. Suspension seems fine as of now. If issue comes back, we may need to pre order a new control board. Customer understood. Job complete."

"Go to this unit to find that the door was not opening and closing correctly. Parts of the lower panel were hitting portions of the cabinet, and the level of the unit was off, not allowing the door to shut on top of that. Customer had also tried to remove the dishwasher and had jar, the door as well. Once all this was put back into place and proper adjustment applied was able to remount the dishwasher and get this unit back to closing and opening correctly. Ran an automatic test after this to ensure function. Automatic test went through without any problems. Job complete

Then removed and replaced the defrost heater with the new upgraded part. I then checked the main control board to verify that it was the upgraded part in compliance with Whirlpool service pointer W11642483 Rev C and it is good. "Found the units floating spin basket seized onto the outer tub geared shaft resulting in operational issues / failures reported. By use of excessive force, the spin basket finally broke free however, continues to bind in the lower (spin) position. Due to the units age, overall condition through continued normal use, reoccurring failure, etc. component wear and degraded condition expected. As a result, further component damages will likely occur should disassembly be attempted. With multiple components discontinued and NLA such damage will result in non-repairable status. Due to expected cost of repair and potential for non-repairable damage as a result of limited part availability the customer has opted not to advance with further service at this time. Customer to advise.

Found loud and erratic electrical arcing originating from the units capacitor and diode, strong electrical burning odor with smoke present after less than 3sec of operation. "Tenant stated unit not producing ice. Verified incoming water supply checks good and freezer temp around 0F. Found bail arm for icemaker in the upward position which stops ice production. Dropped arm down into working position and icemaker immediately cycled, harvested cubes and filled with water. Advised tenant how to turn icemaker on and off. Mrs will monitor and advise, all operations test OK at this time."
