"There is no model serial sticker on this unit and no identifying information at all. Not even a manufacturers name. I did find that one of the two blower wheels has cracked. When the unit is turned on low, its OK but once it is turned on high that crack expands and rubs the inter portion of the blower wheel housing. I tried finding that model somewhere online to get information about it but was not able to. Customer told me the house was built in 2004 in the hood is original to the home. Customer plans on redoing the kitchen so he will just use it on low until they do the kitchen."

"Customer concerned that the unit is up to 19 degrees. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, accessed evaporator (single evap, stand-alone freezer) and evaporator has full frost pattern. Evaporator running strong and found no defrost issue. I found piece of plastic covering the defrost drain hole, preventing water from draining properly. This developed an ice sheet and blocked the intake vent for the evaporator. Quoted customer labor to defrost the drain line and clear the intake vent. Customer approved. Defrosted ice from drain trough and re-installed all parts. All ops good. Job complete."

"Sr#7739975874 got back to this unit and installed new shelf and brackets and found very much the same issues going on. Further investigation found that the interior of the liner was damaged so much so that the shelves were not locking incorrectly and causing the shelves themselves to be skewed to the left or right depending on which side was just messed up. Line to report this issue. This was determined by, whirlpool tech line to be non-repairable. The customer this SR number that is at the beginning of this PVR. Customer did call before I left and confirmed that the unit was non-repairable and that they would be in contact within the next three days or so to let the customer know how they were going to proceed with an exchange."

"This unit is a 20+ year old Maytag Neptune washing machine. The spin basket drive bearing is completely gone and there is about 8 inches of play between it. The manufacturers model serial sticker for this unit has been completely worn off and therefore information cannot be retrieved. "Got to this unit and found that the agitator was intermittently working and not. This was to blame from the shifter, not shifting correctly. Noted that we had a little bit of oil coming from the gearcase that could be helping us along. But this unit indeed had the old shifter in it, the old design. the new design is slightly different and accommodates for the problems that the previous shifter had. Was able to find that the shifter was more than likely, having a problem, engaging and disengaging to allow the unit to shift correctly to move through the cycles. Gave the customer estimate for new shifter and labor involved. Was able to install after approval and test. Testing showed this unit to be shifting correctly multiple different times and not having issues doing so. unit should be back to working correctly at this time. job complete.

"Got back to this unit seven days out of being a recall. For the same issue we had previously this customer had been out of town and was not able to get us back out here and do time. Because of this did not charge for a service call, this is the exact same issue I was having before. Heater because of evaporator in the freezer section being frozen over again. Found and determined that the defrost timer was not acting properly. Once advanced found power going to one side of the defrost sensor, but not coming out of the other. By the time this testing had occurred we had lost enough temperature in the freezer section for this not to show correctly. At this time, it is very difficult to tell which direction to continue to go. With all testing believe that if we were to move forward, the temperature sensor or defrost sensor would be indeed suspect. Customer to let us know how this unit is. Moving forward. Inspected unit and determine the relay bake relay on the main control is faulty getting stuck at all times therefore unit is overheating displaying F6 E1 error. Need part for repair. Came to inspect unit and once again the RC evap coil and cover is frozen with ice therefore unit is now cooling at all. The defrost cycle is not working. We have replaced everything we can and also have installed the drain pan kit which therefore is a service pointer for it. I called the techline and he stated this unit is unrepairable and will be under review by them and they will reach out to customer. Here is the SR# 7739954337. Job complete.
