"Got back to this unit and was able to pull the unit out and replace both the user interface and the main control board. Customer had not use this unit since my last visit so wasnt able to tell me whether or not the unit had continued with the issue or not. Made sure to specifically tell customer that if this were to happen again to make sure to shut the breaker off immediately. For some reason after she had called multiple people, nobody had told her this. Did test the operation of the unit after installing these parts and found unit to be heating correctly and was able to shut off using all buttons, and tested to ensure all buttons were working as well. No further issues found at this time. Job complete.

Arrived to unit and both compartments are room temperature. Can hear loud gurgling noise from evaporator. Called tech support and ran through testing. Running pressures are -29psi low and about 26psi high side. Unplugged the unit to get equalization pressures and got 3psi low and high side is still at 26psi. Bubble tested all components and tried flushing the system again. Found no leaks at all. Tech support deeming unit not repairable at this time. "Got to this unit to find icemaker had no water or ice in it. Ran test to harvest and found icemaker to be rolling around correctly. After this tried to dispense water into the maker. You could hear the valve being energized, but no water making it into the maker. Turned on the inlet heater for the icemaker and was able after several minutes to get water delivered to the icemaker. This is an indication that the heater was deliberately turned off by the computer during a power glitch. This is happened several times and discuss these issues with the customer. After getting water into the icemaker did a power reset on this unit to also confirm that the fan and the ice room was properly operational. Once the power cycle was complete found the icemaker fan to be working correctly as well as all other components related. At this time, we have a wait-and-see condition where the unit should be producing ice somewhere between 2 to 4 hours and have a full bin within 48 hours. Ask the customer if they did not see this to please call us back. Job complete.

"Found the unit displaying wash motor / motor circuit fault, UI keys unresponsive. Unrelated, units center spray arm separated which will lead to poor wash results. Power to the unit cycled at the home circuit breaker. Upon restoring power the units UI resumed normal operation. Fault condition no longer displaying. Unit ran through operational testing now without fault and/or water leaks. Tenant instructed to continue normal use of the unit over the 30 day service warranty period. Should the unit continue operation without reoccurring fault, installation of a new center spray arm (PN: 5304506740) would be recommended to restore optimal wash performance. Should wash motor / motor circuit fault persist a new control and/or wash motor assembly will be needed to correct however, cost for repair will then exceed the informed preset total cost allowance. "Got to this unit to find error code for unit missing tachometer signal. Testing the unit found it to be trying to agitate. But for some reason sounded slightly off. Because of this ran more testing and was looking for the issue. Could hear there was something a mess in the wash basket. But until getting the lid up while it was running did not see the problem Until then. The top of the cabinet was opened up while in operation found that the agitator plate was not agitating. This appears to be due to the fact that the cam had come apart. When the cam came apart, it was no longer shifting between agitate and spin. It was only allowing for a spin condition. When this unit was agitating, you could hear the plate moving back-and-forth, but not actually doing its job. Was able to replace and actuator. Tested after installing these parts and found proper function. No further issues found at this time. Job complete.

"Found float switch popped up too far and was stuck in the open position, this will prevent the unit from filling as the control interprets this as the unit being full of water. Fixed float switch cap and verified proper operation. Verified no fault codes stored in control and unit ran through a diagnostic cycle without fault. Advised tenant and homeowner on unit, most likely this was caused by a utensil falling and wedging under the float. All operations check OK at this time."

"Customer reports flood condition. Standing water within the tank, water saturated towel in front of the unit. Through inspection found behind the unit, the high loop drain hose had fallen free from the drain hose extension resulting in flooding. Confirmed no physical damage, hose connection fully seated and secured. Unit ran through testing by use of the GE SmartHQ. VDC circuit fault x2 recorded. GE Software update required. Unit ran through diagnostic load testing. Found inefficient drain pump motor function, impeller skipping freely on the motor shaft. All other component loads passed testing without fault and/or water leaks. Installation of a new drain pump motor and GE software update will be required to correct primary failures found. Based on recorded faults, additional control failure(s) may exist. Customer has opted not to advance with repair service at this time. Quote listed is for estimate only. No parts to be ordered without prior authorization.

Came and determine the icemaker is not working. The reason being the tunnel going to the icemaker was Rosen with ice and so was the fill tube going to the ice maker which will not allow ice to be made. Defrosted the ice in the tunnel and fill tube. Cold air is now circulating to the ice compartment and water is also now being sent to the icemaker. It is working properly. Job complete.

"Customer concerned that the unit is not holding temperature properly, and the temperatures will be sporadic. Confirmed issue. Upon arrival, freezer and refrigerator section seem to be cooling properly. All fans are running. Ran through diagnostics and cycled all components and they are good. Pulled unit out to inspect inside compressor compartment and found large amount of corrosion and condensation on back side of the refrigerator, near where the freezer evaporator is. Check picture attached to work order. This is due to compromised interior insulation, or separating heat exchanger, which is causing an ice ball on the freezer evaporator. Due to this ice ball this is causing cooling issues. Informed customer that this would not be repairable due to the fact that its damaged internal insulation. Unit not repairable. Contacted tech support to document, they said this issue is not repairable as well. SR# 7739640920."
